Hi, I am interested in an Pro Max 16 Plus. Can someone explain how the noise is in comparison to an Precision 7670 or 7680? The fans on my 7680 are not that loud but the fan management isn't that good. The fans turn often on and off, when the fans turn on the rpm is very high for a short time and that's a loud "whoosh" sound. After the fans have started, they are relatively quiet. The second question is, does it use a haptic Touchpad?

Hi, that's me who tried it :) but still mo driver available. The Intel support is useless... In Germany you can order this card without any problems. https://www.alternate.de/Intel/Wi-Fi-7-BE201-non-vPro-WLAN-Adapter/html/product/100044906?srsltid=AfmBOooN-Pvg3ZHnmPNJmMC0Sr2iglrINY8H5BzW8d-hAROWxvv_hpNk The only reason why i will try the BE201 is the slow speed/inconsistent speed of the AX211 in this device. In my office i have 500 Mbits download speed, all other devices (Dell Latitude, HP Zbook) will have 900 Mbits Download speed at the exact same place. This devices connected to the Accespoint with 2401 Mbit, the 7680 only with 800-900 Mbit. Maybe the antennas are not so good on this device. -
Dell Precision 7680 Wifi 7 card
woffe replied to woffe's topic in Pro Max & Precision Mobile Workstation
ah ok, after reading the Wikipedia article i understand. The AX211 card is a CNVio2 card, the BE201 is a CNVio3 card. The article says that CNVio1 and 2 is not compatible. So i think CNVio2 and 3 will not compatible and the BE201 card will not work. -

Hi, that's a info that I don't have. I only lookt at E‐Key Layout. I don't know that the ports are different. So the AX211 is always CNVi? and the BE200 is always PCIe? -
Hi, i have a Precision 7680 with the Intel AX211 Wifi Card. I bought the Intel BE200 Wifi 7 card and installed it. But after reboot I have no Wifi Adapter. The BE200 card isn't shown in the device manager. Has Dell a Whitelist in Bios for the Wifi Card?

Hi, thanks for the answer. Yes your settings work great, but what happens on battery? Will the more Power eventually damage the battery? -

Hi, how many points do get in CB23? I use PTM9750 an got arround 26500-27200 points for a single run. (i7 13850hx, RTX 3500,7680) At this point I did not hit the thermal limit. Before the repaste I got arround 24500-25200 and hit the thermal limit. In the 10 Min. test I got arround 21000 Points. I ended up at 2,9 GHz because PL1 is still low (72-77W) CPU stays at arround 77-80c -

Hi, i tryed to change the power limits with throttlestop on my 7680. I will set PL 1 to 90W and PL 2 to 120W. The change on PL 2 will work, but the PL 1 change will not work, PL 1 will always be around 77W. A lower PL 1 (e.g. 60W) will work, but not a higher. Has Dell this blocked? Kind regards, Sascha -

Hi, I talked to Dell to switch the Camm Module for the SoDimm adapter. The spare parts are not available in the near future. Is it a problem to choose the 4800Mhz 64GB Camm Module? This is much cheaper than the 5600Mhz Camm version. Kind regards. -

Hi, i have the 7680 a few days now. I am very happy with it. (13850hx, rtx 3500, 32GB Ram) Here in germany the camm ram is so expensive. To buy a 64GB module will cost more than 1/3 of the notebook (around 1500 Euro) Is it possible to buy the CAMM to SoDIMM interface adapter and then use normal SoDimm? Or do you think that CAMM will be cheaper in the next months? Thanks for your help.
