  1. CAMM2 is less expensive I am seeing, but still 2x what sodimms are. https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr5/ct64g75c2lp5xg I went to look at getting an outlet 7780 but they are using CAMM only, so yeah, 2k for 64 GB. WTF was DELL thinking.
  2. Let me expand on this. I want to do a full restore of my laptop back to factory. DELL is saying they don't sell/have anything that can do this, so I am left with this: https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000125230/how-to-create-and-use-the-dell-recovery-restore-usb-drive which apparently just makes a recovery point from your existing install (so it has to be in perfect working order, which mine is not) or a basic Windows recovery download/install with no DELL drivers.
  3. Just spoke with DELL and they no longer sell USB recovery devices, so how am I supposed to get a full recovery USB with the OS and DELL drivers integrated? They keep pointing me to the Win recovery process but are leaving out how to get the DELL drivers integrated into it. I know the DELL stuff needs to be installed in a particular order so would like an all-in-one solution. Any help is appreciated.
  4. RIght, I'm at 128 (4x32) and I paid 380 for it.
  5. No one, and I mean no one is going to pay 1100 to go from 32 to 64. DELL can kiss their corporate sales goodbye. SMH
  6. Right, and going to 128 GB is 2,000 https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-camm-memory-upgrade-64-gb-ddr5-5600-mt-s-not-interchangeable-with-sodimm/apd/370-bbhk/memory https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-camm-memory-upgrade-128-gb-ddr5-3600-mt-s-not-interchangeable-with-sodimm/apd/370-ahfr/memory Even on Amazon its 1100 for 64GB https://www.amazon.com/Dell-DDR5-Modul-CAMM-5600/dp/B0C5Y471MT
  7. CAMM going to be the only memory option going forward with DELL? I noticed that going from 32 to 64 GB now is $1,100... this would be an absolute deal breaker for us using DELL from now on.
  8. What's DDU? Res change works, yes. I have no DELL apps or drivers installed that relate to video - no diaplay calibration, nothing. I don't think I have optimus installed.
  9. BIOS adjustment works, and updated drivers with the Feb 24 ones from DELL's website, still no luck, no brightness adjustments, really weird.
  10. I'm using 536.45 but honestly I don't know if this is the DEL signed driver or not... haven't tried the BIOS adjustment yet, can't reboot at the moment.
  11. Hi all, I am not able to adjust the laptop screen brightness - I have tried the keyboard keys, the mobility center, the display setting, the NVIDIA control panel... nothing I do works. The screen is pegged at 100% and is over saturated, not sure how. Thoughts? DPM 7760, Win 10 Pro, switchable graphics off.
  12. Just realized that my DELL sound bar has a line-in, so problem solved 😄
  13. This is kind of what I was planning on doing, but am out of USB C ports - does this work with USB A? So something like this: https://www.amazon.com/DuKabel-ProSeries-Mic-Supported-Headphone-External/dp/B07RS11M1T?th=1
  14. Hi, the Waves MaxAudio Service Application is using over a GB of memory and is constantly using 5 to 10% CPU and High to Very High power usage. My fan is running all the time now. If I reboot the machine it'll be OK for a while, but if I plug headphones in and watch YT videos for a bit it jumps right back up to ridiculous levels. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling it to no avail. If I kill the process I can no longer use headphones... is there any fox for this, or is there an alternative driver I can use so my headphones work without having Waves MaxAudio Service Application running? This is on a DPM 7760 Win 10 Pro
