Sadly that depends from board to board. The Gigabyte x870e Aours Pro Ice, which i wanted beacuse of the white color has 4 slots but. 1x PCI Express x16 slot (PCIEX16), integrated in the CPU: AMD Ryzen™ 9000/7000 Series Processors support PCIe 5.0 x16 mode * The M2B_CPU and M2C_CPU connectors share bandwidth with the PCIEX16 slot. When theM2B_CPU orM2C_CPU connector is populated, the PCIEX16 slot operates at up to x8 mode. so it looks if u have one drive in any of those other 2 slots (M2B and and M2C) the pciex 16 gpu slot will operate at x8 only..

I was also looking for a x870e board but man almost all of them have that stupid pcie lane splitting bullshit, if i plan to use 3 ssds the gpu pcie x16 will get only 8x. Looks like only the asrock taichi and nova dont have it. And the stupid +1000 $ Mb aswell. But the taichi is matx and doesnt fit in my case like i want and also i have a white build and both gigabyte white mainboards and also the white strix are dumbed down pcie bifurcation stupidity.

Wait for the discounts. Looks like this cpus will not save Intel from their money troubles. https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/cpus/intel-hasnt-sold-a-single-arrow-lake-cpu-at-germanys-largest-retailer-core-ultra-200s-sales-stagnate-after-just-one-week

What did intel think to release these CPUS in this state..looks like ES cpus..something is really wrong with the drivers or something..its slower in many games like as a 12th gen....
  9. cylix
Tragic, a lot of instability still, its like a beta launch. Didnt expect this from intel.

Looking better and better with every rumor. To good to be true 😃😃 https://wccftech.com/amd-ryzen-7-9800x3d-3d-v-cache-cpu-ddr5-8800-asus-rog-crosshair-x870e-hero-nitropath/

Me too, STALKER is my favorite series of games along HL, i played the crap out of them . Even it they had a ton of bugs, everything else was perfection (story, gameplay, graphics etc). I really hope 2 will be the same, it looks good and after so many delays because of the war it looks like we are finally getting it.

Well it look like the stupidness will be everywhere now...😑 https://wccftech.com/intel-amd-testing-12v-2x6-power-connectors-for-next-gen-gpus/https://wccftech.com/intel-amd-testing-12v-2x6-power-connectors-for-next-gen-gpus/

I think those are realistic scores, they are from MSI internal team and not from AMD directly

Skip generation, looks like a complete letdown.. https://videocardz.com/newz/intel-admits-core-ultra-9-285k-will-be-slower-than-i9-14900k-in-gaming This chinese slides are Intel Official ones, in reality it could be worse.

New gaming nr 1 cpu from the looks of it. Let's see what the other x3d bring. Alleged Ryzen 9000X3D Cinebench R23 scores emerge, 10% to 28% faster than 7000X3D https://videocardz.com/newz/alleged-ryzen-9000x3d-cinebench-r23-scores-emerge-10-to-28-faster-than-7000x3d

So 5090 more W rated but Nvidia is sticking to the single 12VV-2x6 cable. What could go wrong? 🤪 https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-geforce-rtx-5090-to-pcie-5-0-interface-displayport-2-1a-uhbr20-and-a-single-12x-2x6-power-connector. I think i will wait a couple of months with the purchase until we will see if it will burn or not. Dont want the headache to RMA it after a couple of months...

    Fresh credible leaks for 5090 😁 https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-geforce-rtx-5090-and-rtx-5080-specs-leaked

I think there is a good possibility that both ccds of the 12 and 16 cores will have 3d vcache on them. That will be great if true.

You can get zorin Core version for free, like everything Linux it's free, the pro version is just to support the devs and get some productivity tools bundle like Libre office, and Adobe alternatives and so on, and 4 new dektop themes and customizations Uis. You can always upgrade to pro when you want and also you can install all the programs from the store application if you need GUI or have some fun and learn some Linux and install then in Terminal with sudo apt and so on.
  24. cylix
I also have it as dual boot with win 11 on my yoga pro..no problems whatsoever. Just use the instructions on their website how to install it together with w11. It will be flawless.

Install ZorinOs or Linux Mint and you will be amazed from Linux Easymode (Windows style)😁 I have on my Work laptop ZorinOS 17 Pro installed, its like 40 dollars, just to reward the devs for a great job. This is the best Ubuntu Distro if you need a Windows or MacOS GUI. It installed all the laptops drivers without a problem! Heck even windowa sometimes doesnt install some toouchpads drivers and so on. ZorinOS is really great! https://zorin.com/os/ I will install it in the near future on my Desktop aswell just to see how it is for gaming and other power hungry software.
