    And NBR is dead!

You're overthinking things. And GDPR hasn't been an issue for forums. The sites were abandoned (likely not profitable enough) and the forums weren't worth put. Sure they were worth quite a bit to us, but monetarily they were worth very little. And then add in server costs and they might even have been slight losses. TechTarget seem to be going as usual, so to echo others here, someone sympathetic to the forums probably left and/or an accounting review found the forums still existing and costing money, so they were axed as part of normal 'fat skimming'.
  2. All my gaming is on my Switch these days. Enjoying Pokémon Legends: Arceus way the moment (despite the poor landscape textures). Well that and a few minutes playing Niantic games on my smartphone.
  3. Thanks! I didn't post much on the old forum, but it's good to be around. Hopefully here will become a useful source of information too. So many forums just aren't. Yeah, best to keep that mess at a distance. And a fresh start (with access to old content) is an opportunity.
  4. I'd still use my 809 PureView if it weren't dead. But none of the batteries I have will get it to work, so I suspect it's a bigger issue. It's a shame. Symbian was such an efficient OS. Sure, they didn't manage to get it to work with multicore SoCs. And it's a shame that what was supposed to be an alternative in Maemo/Meego is now Sailfish which doesn't seem to have gotten anywhere significant.
