  1. Many thanks for the information. I have ordered the same lcd panel to make sure it works. external display has no problem. Even if the graphic card fails, i still have the old original P3000 as backup.
  2. Hi, My 7720 LCD has started to show artifacts, again, after warranty claim 3 years ago. It looks like the LCD screen lifespan is 3-4 years only. It is a 4k non touch screen, 40 pins. Is there a compatible 1920x1080 LCD that will fit in? it seems like FHD screen is using 30pins, not sure if there is 40pins type for 7720.
  3. I see. The reason i get this card is purely for fun, i seldom use wifi. I use the laptop with 95% of the time lid closed, using TB3 external enclosure LAN card. Hopefully the driver will be available soon. Did u ask the seller about that?
  4. Seems like someone has tried with the new BE201 CNvio3 on 7680 but without driver. https://community.intel.com/t5/Wireless/Intel-Wifi-7-BE201-driver-download/m-p/1621538 He mentioned the device shown up under device manager. Whether a correct driver will make it work or not is unknown. Earlier when i tried BE200 on 7780 it was not detected at all nothing appeared. Not sure from where he got the card, i can't find it yet in the market.
  5. So far no, but i have not loaded the system in most cases. Heard that desktop cpus are the main target. Precision laptops both CPU & GPU are usually castrated version, unable to run at full load with limited power so it is unlikely to be affected.
  6. Has anyone ever tried to push out the fan blades for easy cleaning? 7780 fan blades are too many and close to each other difficult to reach. Dry cleaning like brushing or air gun will not work for me due to too much dust that stick on the blades. I need to use wet flat button bud to clean the blades piece by piece, where both fans will take more than 1 hour to clean. Just because of this reason i have bought from aftermarket another complete set of heatsink with fans to replace directly for use, and slowly clean the dirty one later. My place need fan cleaning every 3 months. Most of the fan blades can be taken out for cleaning, some are pretty easy to push out like intel NUC. For laptop fan, from the outlook i really can't tell whether it is removable type or not. Trial and error always ends up with either working or broken fan.
  7. Ouch... how about the WWAN slot, will NVME wifi card work on it? Since nvme ssd works with that wwan slot.
  8. Wow thanks for the information, never know about this design & standard that adds on confusion to consumers.
  9. Just bought an intel BE200 card thinking to replace the AX211. However it doesn't work after installing. Not detected as all, nothing shown as if non-exist for wifi and bt. Has anyone tested with BE200 working with current version precision?
  10. Are u sure Clevo has 3 slots? past few years i have been following them and only 2 slots offered at top models.
  11. My bad in my earlier post, Lenovo does offer full keyboard with P16 Gen2. Earlier i was looking at P1 gen6.
  12. Keyboard still miserable layout? lol... Kinda strange, Lenovo insists on keyboard without Numpad. Only HP has dedicated pgup pgdn home end keys but a bit far from ctrl key which ctrl+home/end is a common combination; up/dn arrow keys still tiny type. All 3 big companies are not looking from ergonomic point of view. I hate Dell keyboard, but since i am using external setup 90% of the time, i can still live with that. I hope Dell maintains the 4x m.2 slots design, this could be by far the laptop with most m.2 slots in the world, i used up all of them + the wwan slot.
  13. oic, nowadays integrated card is acceptable. About the long boot, precision series is the highest grade business laptop for consumer, rich with the security features. next grade after this might be military grade. The laptop needs to initialize many things during boot, causing the long delay. I have not researched on how to disable those features to fast boot it.
