Got everything installed and buttoned back up the other night, works like a champ! Had no issues with the driver install and the thermals are looking pretty good - hovering around 60c under load. Played a couple hours of Borderlands 2 on it and had no issues.

Alright, thanks! I'll post an update once everything gets here and I get it installed. Always fun getting a new machine and then immediately putting it under the knife.

I recently purchased a Dell Precision 7710 along with a Dell SKU Quadro P4000 and the required NVIDIA heatsink/fan assembly. What is the process like for installing the P4000 in a machine it's not "Dell-compatible" with? I have seen people do this upgrade elsewhere online but haven't found any good instructions on the driver side of things. I've done an MXM GPU upgrade in my Precision M4600 in the past, going from some sad old Keppler-based chip to a Quadro M2200, but that was driver-compatible and I didn't have to mess with anything on the software side.
