  1. Has less shaders than the 980m, currently running in SG mode as system didn't post in PEG mode. Currently solved the issue by abusing the sleep bug, which when woken up allows the GPU's power usage double to ~75w. Have some current sense resistors on order, will try to piggyback on top of the existing one and see how I go.
  2. Hello once again, After much deliberation I have installed an M4000m, originally out of a HP Zbook, in my 18r1. Nvcleaninstall got drivers working and the GPU was detected in the bios. But the GPU clock is stuck at 405mhz and the reported power draw caps out at 30w. Could this be rectified by using a dell m4000m bios? Thanks in advance.
  3. Hi all, Swapped my m290x for a rx480 last night, card isn't detected in bios. I've switched to sg mode, tried setting peg always enable to both on and off, and have tried setting to igpu only and still no discrete graphics found. I've heard these cards can be finicky with BIOSes, but is this uncharted waters? Thanks in advance
  4. I am aware about the QC issues, but it's either that or finding one on Taobao/xy which is proving difficult. Looked in the bios earlier today and although Dell says they added the 40661 (crystalwell) microcode in BIOS A05, this is actually a typo and they meant 40660.
  5. Hi all, Recently picked up an 18r1 for an absolute steal. Wanting to know if anyone has tried inserting the crystalwell microcode into the A12 unlocked bios to get 4980hq support? Don't really wanna fancy dropping $150aud on a CPU if someone knows for certain that it wont work. Thanks - lime
