  1. Hi, my Alienware fans dont work on their own so I had to setup HWINFO64 I just want to make sure the gtx1070 gets cooled properly, the gpu never gets hot right after turning on the laptop right? (because when setting up HWINFO64, I think it only starts the fans and cools the gpu when windows boots, not when pressing the power button of the laptop) Thx
  2. Hi, Im going to get an GTX1070 MXM soon, but just wanted to be sure, does the Alienware 18 R1 motherboard have enough power to handle the GTX1070's full power? (It wont burn out or something like that?) Thx
  3. Hi, I just wanted to know, does someone know what thermal pads thickness works best with this heatsink and this GTX1070 MXM I show in these pictures for my Alienware 18 (So the thermal pads make perfect contact with the heatsink and the vrm, vram and the other chips, but not too thick so the gpu doesnt get bent) Thanks!
  4. There is this other temperature in my HWINFO named "Hot Spot", I wanted to know if that one is the temperature of the hottest chip of my GTX980M right? Either RAM, VRAM or VRM right? If so, I guess I put the thermal pads correctly because my Hot Spot has good temps? Thx
  5. Ok,I understand, yes I bought the modded heatsink from him, its also the 18 inch Aleinware 18
  6. My GTX1070 MXM is a bit bent, will it cause issues? I just want to make sure the thermal pads are making proper contact with the heatsink
  7. Hi everyone, just wanted to know if its a good idea to put a 1.5mm thermal pad on top of a 2.5mm for these chips I highlighted (GTX1070MXM), (Im using a customized heatsink, so I just wanted to know if will putting those thermal pads on top of each other will keep the chips cool enough)
  8. Ok, so it won't overheat right?
  9. Hi everyone, I bought a GTX980M, as this one in the picture, however, should I take out the black part that is around the main chip?(The one I highlighted in red) Or should I leave it there? I just want to make sure the gpu gets cooled properly
  10. Do the ones highlighted in yellow require thermal pads? Thanks
