  1. Lately Fan Control does no more display CPU temp and Fan Control and Control Station partially display bits of source code instead of data. Probably since the last restore from a recovery poin, but not on earlier such occasions. A clean install of Fan Control is of course impossible w/o activation server. For the free Control Station i always performed an online update(as for Fan Control) and also downloaded the current version to store it. The final download was defunct which i took years to notice and i'm sure it didn't happen during the download, but was crappy already. Setup won't find anything to install and when opened as zip in WinRAR there are only a couple of files of about 100kbyte in total in the 50+ mbyte archive. Does anyone know how to access the whole archive content in such a case? If the archive were corrupt there would only be an error when trying to open with a packer or running it as exe. Or can anyone post a link to an (earlier) working version? The rest of the suite may also be affected, but is useless now anyway. I only paid for Fan Control, as i don't have RGB keys and didn't need the driver assistant. A fix for the cpu temp and display rubbish issue would also be welcome. Both tools also have scaling issues from switching between the FHD panel and a 4K monitor. Control Station no longer fits wholly on screen in 1080p. Edit: Found a working version of Control Center right here!
  2. I still use my XMG P507 (P651RS-G). In the aforementioned case there's probably just a dead CR2032 battery. CMOS RAM is not backed up by the notebook battery, but by mains as with a desktop pc. On battery it won't power up with dead CR2032. On mains it may require several attempts to power up and get a message about CMOS corruption. After Bios has been set up it will work fine as long as connected to the mains and you can even unplug it while running, but have to reattach it before shutting down.
