  1. I know this is a laptop forum, but all the problems i have asked regarding my desktop have been answered and fixed by members. Why not branch out and spread this wide mass of knowledge these people have?
  2. could make peripherals its own thing
  3. Add in sub-forums for more detailed desktop hardware, data recovery, keyboards, and possibly the steam deck.
  4. Upgraded my cpu from a 2600 to a 5600x. Msi B450 motherboard. I updated to current bios before swap. I have a 250gb m.2 for my os and it would only boot to bios. I unplugged all of my of my storage drives before boot to new cpu. Had to do a new install of windows. All sata drives show up fine but for some reason my 2tb hdd switched to dynamic disk. It was mostly used for mass offline game storage but I have some Photos i want to save. I used MiniTool Partition Wizard and i can see the folders I want to save but it wants me to pay to use the software for that function. What can I use instead to recover those files?
  5. So after a bit of running this monitor I find no problems with it. Works great, just not a fan of the way text looks on an ips panels as much as a va panel. Runs 1440 games perfect, crystal clear, quick refresh, never see any ghosting or lagging. 10/10
  6. @Talon only question i have left is it says to enable this monitor set it as primary display on set up multiple displays. I have it as primary. That message just doesnt go away even tho everythings working?
  7. I believe this is the answer to my problem. From benq website: FreeSync is always active on the monitor by default. Please toggle FreeSync on/off from the graphics card control center. Once off on the driver side, the monitor will also disable FreeSync.
  8. already ran ddu through twice
  9. Motherboard: MSI B450 gaming plus {MS-7b86} Cpu: AMD Ryzen 2600 Gpu: evga rtx 3060 xc Using display port. Downloaded current benq drivers and using version 512.15 for geforce drivers. Nothing for turning freesync on OSD. I think it will always say not compatible even tho it is working? https://www.microcenter.com/tech_center/article/10968/how-to-enable-nvidia-g-sync-compatible-mode
  10. Trying to get my new monitor set up with g-sync but its says not validated as g-sync compatible.
