  1. I started playing 2 games on my PS3: Folklore - A japanese action game set in Ireland where you use folk creatures and fairies in combat. It's a murder mystery where you explore the village of Doolin and interact with the locals trying to find clues and also explore the netherworld investigating the fairies. An interesting game that kinda gives me the same vibe of a Japanese RPG set in Wales called 'Koudelka'. The other game I have been having a blast with is 'Split Second'. A racing game that play in a similar vain to Burnout Takedown(another fantastic game) but instead of crashing into your opponents, you instead build up your metre by drifting, then set off an explosion on an environment that crashes into your opponents. The explosions are absolutely epic as the you are racing on a TV show. Very fun.
  2. Yup. Seen and did all of that as I looked at the same reddit page you posted. I also installed nvidia's geforce experience, but nothing happened. I looked at other reddit pages too but I couldn't find any with Samsung laptops. There are a few youtube videos that had someone got it working on any Huawei Matebook via intstlling and reinstalling nvidia drivers, with another getting it to work on his dell laptop but he didn't say how.
  3. When I plugged in the dock, the light on the dock went from red to amber; amber meaning that it is charging the laptop (the dock does that too). Plugging the duck into the USB-C port, doesn't do that. On 'System Information', it came up with an error that said "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)". On Device manager, it didn't come up under Display Adapter and on Universal Serial Bus Controllers, it also came up with pretty much the same error, which is error code 43. I was using a thunderbolt 4 cable which works with thunderbolt 3 devices and I also purchased the shortest cable possible. This cable is used for data transfer which made it a bit pricey. I also installed the dock drivers which did nothing at all (they are however, lenovo drivers) but to no avail. I wish I could have tested the device on another thunderbolt laptop, but I don't know anyone else that owns one. I think this is the reason why Lenovo stopped making and selling these as they are very finicky to get working, as there are obvious compatibility issues.
  4. AHh sorry. My Samsung is the Galaxybook flex that has 2 thunderbolt ports and a USB -C port. I took the dock back to the shop as I was given 2 days to get my money back if it didn't work. However - I'm more than willing to buy it again if I can find a way to get it working. Any new info and I would be willing to install/update any software or settings, then go back to the store and test it as I think they would be okay with that.
  5. 1) Renegade/Target Renegade on the Amstrad CPC. I loved the graphics on both of these games and the 16 colours chosen for the palettes in both games were excellent choices. My friends and I had great fun with this one. 2) Double Dragon (arcade) This game blew my mind the first time I laid eyes on it. It was gritty, had a 2 player mode and weapons you could pick up. The sound track on the second section of the game is so funky that I couldn't stop humming it back in the day. 3) Xenogears (PS1) My first full on RPG. The 2D sprite work mixed with the 3D backgrounds is what caught my eye on this, which in turn led me to my love of RPG's. I don't have much time to play this genre anymore, but this game - I bought the soundtrack and had completed the game many times. The story is really good even though the developers ran out of time on the second disk. 4) Koudelka (PS1) Another fantastic RPG and one of my favourites next to Xenogears and Parasite Eve. The battle system isn't great, but the excellent story, voice acting and mature characters makes this game a hidden gem. The most compelling thing about the mocap dialogue scenes, is that it is a static camera and so feels exactly like you are watching a play. Complete contrast to your typical movie style camera work you see in games today. 5) Street Fighter Alpha 3 (arcade). I got pretty good at this one. Honourable mentions: Dragons Dogma Dark Souls Rival Schools Ketsui
  6. Hello there! I managed to acquire a lenovo thunderbolt 3 graphics dock and have spent several hours trying to get it working on my Samsung laptop. I've looked on reddit forums and youtube, but the laptop doesn't even recognise its very existence. It doesn't even come up in the device manager. I have installed nvidia's geforce experience and still - nothing. I'm using a tb4 cable which is short - nothing. All it currently does is charge the laptop. I also tried disabling the MX 250 driver - nothing. Updated all my drivers aaaaaand - nothing! They work on other laptops like the dell, but I'm not having much luck with the Samsung. Anyone had any experiences with these on non lenovo laptops?
  7. Hi everyone. I'm an old member from NBR. I was saddened by the closure of the former site as it had invaluable information and was great to browse and contribute to peoples laptop experiences. Hoping that the same thing will happen here and that everyone is doing well.
