  1. Apologies if this has been answered before, Picked up a "like new" Origin X170KM-G on ebay and tbh it really does look unused. Runs stable and cool (GPU running with overclock stable). my issue at the moment is that the CPU does not want to draw more than 70w (10900k). its hitting maybe 4ghz(Avg looks like 3.7 under sustained load) and staying cool (high of 58c). bios and ec updated to latest XMG (its an origin machine). ive played around with throttlestop and the cpu just refuses to draw more than 70w. Any guidance fixing this would be appreciated. Edit: Looks like even when stress testing the CPU maxes out at 71W and the GPU 125W (10900k/165W 3080). Very odd, tempratures are both under 60c and system is stable. (Bios is on perfermance plan as is windows)
  2. Thanks for the reply, i would have no idea how to modify the heatsink unfortunatley.
  3. Has anyone done this for a X170, was debating grabbing a 4090 card but the heatsink comments have me out of depth on this.
  4. Asus M16 (2022, 3070ti, owned for 2 years)had constant issues (Audio Crackle, 1 speaker died, Thermal Throttle even with proper lq metal and power limit, keyboard failure 2x, and 1 fan failure).Asus support was not helpul, i had to fight for each RMA (this was before the GN article). Luckily Strix 18 ive owned for 1 year has had 0 issues even with abuse (2 deployments vs 0 for the m16) and overclocking.
  5. Is there any way to upgrade the "okay" panels on the current M18R2 ? I know years back on my m18x it was possible (obviously making sure it's within spec). Thanks!
