Terry1951
Hi, The GPU appears dead in my Clevo P775DM3 (lines on screen, driver not loading). I'm hoping that I can upgrade (slightly) from the original GTX1070 to a GTX1080. I'll need to change at least one thermal pad - comparing photos it seems that those two cards have very similar layout, although there's one chip that is larger. I'd like to replace/refresh all the pads. Does anyone have a diagram of the thicknesses needed for the various locations (GTX1080 + VRM)? Any tips/warnings about the substitution of a higher power consumption GPU? I'm hoping that with fresh thermal paste and new thermal pads the cooling will be adequate.
