instead managed to find a legit retailer selling a 2023 zephy duo 4080 for less than i can get a strix scar 16

 

so amd gang now will probably get some upsiren pro and replacement lim for it to tame the thermals

 

Real question tho seems they didn't add conductonaut or any LM to the GPU any idea what would be an ideal insulated to prevent leaks if I did this.

Pressure should be fine at least if I'm using siren

@seanweethanks for speaking with me last week about the shunt mod for my Legion Pro 7i with 4090.  I am probably going to be out of town for the next couple of months and won't be able to do anything until I get home.  That is unless I do it in my hotel room!

It's not necessary to use LM on the gpu, just PTM7950 will do.

thanks for letting me know, got some ptm and upsiren ultra on way, basically gonna monitor the laptop for a month with stock LM and paste / pads.

 

then tame the 7945hx and get a more even LM application going like you did for better all core spread.
have you tried undervolting the cpu yet

 

i heard -24mv is a safe UV and if your lucky and get a chip that does the full -30mv stable its pretty beasty like 37.5k cine

 

hows undervoltig going for yours, first time im going to be amd since athlon xp so like 20 years lul

 

update heard universal amd form browser let's you increase the ram speed higher than what's max for Asus bios etc so you can got higher than the 5200mhz limit.

tried that yet?

I'm at -20 CCD0 and -30 CCD1. And no, I can't hit 37.5k due to the imposed 108A TDC limit.

 

And yes, I'm already running overclocked and tuned ram.

i see what you mean about core discrepancy on temps thats wild.

guess i should redo the lm when i plan to upsiren it.

 

on another note it was stable on a -30mv uxtu and even worked with -31/ for short while lul

You can flash it but the gpu still doesn't execute unsigned code according to @Prema

shame, also surprised your ram works at 1.1v at 6000mhz i have found a 6400mhz kit of kingston for cheap but the voltages for those speed raises questions about laptop support since i assume i can just run universal amd form browser to up iti from the jedec profile to 6000

The Kingston kit uses hynix A die as well but they don't seem to do well at lower voltages. They were binned for operation at 1.35v.

-35mv was accepted and didnt crash in ghelper for the multiple attempts i did. (i dont know how much of a ccd1 and ccd0 this is)

if only i killed processes also this is stock ram.

 

fyi what timing did you finalise your hynix a ram since mines on the way , same serial, pretty sure i read somewhere you changed it again in benchmarks thread

Unfortunately bro I bought a GE78HX, going to test the waters and see if that EC limit still exists even with the shunt mod. 😅 I used to get around that hard limit by disabling the Nvidia platform controller in device manager, gives you the full beans for the cpu and gpu…

TRTP is finicky on laptops or at 1.1v for some reason, set it to auto first and tweak it last.

It's all set im using the same settings you posted before with a 2000flck instead of 2133

Ambients here 10c higher atm so maybe affecting cpu score on TS its only at 15000 atm
