Yeah another year that mid range and affordable GPUs sucks. On top of that the new RTX 5050 will use 8GBs of VRAM which makes sense for a entry level GPU in 2025 but not for mid range GPUs like the RTX 5060 and RTX 5070, They should at least have 12GBs of VRAM or even 10GBs of VRAM at the minimum. Sadly 5070ti laptops are over $2,000 now but should drop under that later in the year hopefully. I blame NVIDIA for obvious reasons but i also blame today's game studios that are releasing games that are so badly optimized that they're so VRAM hungry, having bad performance that requires either DLSS, FSR, Xess, and FrameGen turned on to get good performance.

Current Laptop:

Lenovo Legion 5: AMD Ryzen 7 4800H 2.8Ghz (Boost: 4.2Ghz), 6GB Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660Ti GDDR6 Memory, 15.6" FHD (1920 x 1080) 144Hz IPS display, 32GB 3200MHz DDR4 memory, 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD, 1 TB Teamgroup MP34 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD, Windows 10 Home 22H2
