Clevo P750DM2-G RTX 2080 upgrade bios hangs

Alright so i wanted to upgrade the gpu in my clevo P750DM2-G to an RTX 2080. When i added the card and tested it, the bios logo would display but it would not show any bios options or boot into windows, it would just get stuck there. Im wondering if i need to use a custom bios in order for it to work. I currently have the latest non-modded bios (ver 1.06.11). The laptop originally came with a GTX 1070 and an i7 7700k. The RTX 2080 is also a clevo x170 one so i dont think the vbios could be the issue.

For rtx20xx to work on these laptops you need a modified bios with support for rtx20xx cards. You can use bios from Dsanke.

Can you provide a link of the modified bios? i have found 1 online and it adds support for an i9 9900k but first off thats not what i am looking for and second it does not say if it adds support for the RTX 20 series. GitHub - supermarsx/other-clevo-modded-bios: Clevo modded/unlocked BIOS mirror collection by dsanke
