Ahhh thats exactly what I needed... Ok I will try it tomorrow, but yes, I was missing that LEGACY Option Rom enabled, because I never saw that intel Rapid Storage Technlogy menu anymore after the unlocked bios install.  This helps, but I will tackle it tomorrow, not in the mood for it tonight.

I REALLY appreciate all the help !!

Round 2:

I tried to install RTX Driver but " device is not present "

Second try and this time I copied Nvidia Driver to another location.

From directory with drivers I manualy installed nv_dispwi.inf.

In Device Meneger I "update driver" and chose GRAPHIC DRIVER / NVIDIA / QUADRO RTX3000 ( was present after installed nv_dispwi.inf )

and....

Liquid metal works with RTX 3000. "Shadow of the Tomb Rider" with all setings at Ultra gives me over 40fps with GPU temp about 60-70 C

I have problem with M17X R4, I installed unlocked BIOS without problem but I changed from Legacy to UEFI and... M17X now only power on and power off, power on and power off, power on and power off, power on and power off...........

After removed CMOS battery I have 5 beeps but after restarted still power on and power off, power on and power off, power on and power off, power on and power off....

It looks like "BIOS will not allow POST to complete without TPM handshake with original TPM Windows 10 or TPM Windows 11 (C:) boot disk" and  "If your motherboard's security feature refuses to be unlocked or has been corrupted, a new motherboard is your only option."

Maybe another solution ??

1. Would it be possible for you to give a step-by-step for this?  I am at this phase right now too, and I dont want to mess anything up. I am getting this error:

error.png

2. Also how are you guys running windows 11 when it states we dont have the right hardware on our Alienware M18x r2 to run windows 11?  I'd love to move my sons pc up to windows 11, but when I tried before it said hardware didnt support it.  Any help?

Use RUFUS and Win 11 ISO, there is a guide, on RUFUS site for burning to thumb drive, then on win 10 click setup.exe and should install, I prefer not to set with user account so I can install on any PC

If you download this file

nv_dispwi.inf

and click right button on it, and manually install it your RTX should works.

Try to download Furmark 3D and check it.

but if you have full Nvidia driver you should do this:

( say hallo to @ssj92 🙂 )

Your RTX3000 now is named 3D Video Controller.

What you need to do:

Download file nv_dispwi.inf - I uploaded it few post earlier.

Click right button on It and click install on menu.

After "Driver was installed succesfull" go to the Device Meneger and click on 3D Video Display.

Click update driver and use update nanualy from driver installed in system.

Click Graphic Card after that Nvidia after that Quadro RTX3000.

Will be information that this driver can be not correct for this device but click update.

Now your 3D Video display will be RTX3000.

Also if anyone has 'updated' drivers for those 2 OTHER "!" devices, I'd love to know how to make those go away too:

1. Intel(r) Wireless Bluetooth(R)

2. NVIDIA Platform Controllers and Framework

Any help on those will be appreciated as well!

I MAY have fixed it, I did a DDU clean driver install and now its not giving me the error on the display adapter.  About to reboot and see if the error comes back.

well device error is gone, but now when i try to run a game or use nvidia control panel it crashes with this:

You probably wont like my solution, its probably excessive, but I reinstalled windows 10 but used same new nvidia driver and bsod stopped and no more crashing when I play my kids fortnite game (which is the whole thing that started this upgrade lol)

Also that’s too nice of you to try to reproduce my issue, I was worried it was a bad card for me, but if yours does the same thing now, I think you are right its a bad driver (when used with windows 11). It works fine on windows 10.
