Where to buy pls?

The price is very high, since this is not a serial product, a very small batch was released, only 4 pieces remained.

There are many of these and they are not expensive.

Are they even better than K5 Pro and Gelid Solutions GP-Ultimate? Have you done some testing against them?

And do you have any recommendations for thermal paste? Currently using Kryonaut by Thermal Grizzly

Yes, of course I compared with different brands of thermal pads and thermal interfaces from laird did a very good job and, importantly, they are much easier to install and select the desired thickness, since they are very soft and elastic. Due to the fact that they are soft, the radiator very well occupies the desired position without distortions, that is, even if you make a small mistake in choosing the thickness of the gasket, it will be washed to the desired thickness, thereby eliminating distortion. Liquid K5pro did not perform very well in testing, laird Tputty is much more effective.

As for thermal paste, I tried a lot of different thermal pastes and, to be honest, the difference between the top thermal pastes of different brands is at the level of error. I also realized that you should not focus on the thermal conductivity values declared by the manufacturer, a vivid example of this was that Shin Etsu X23-7921-thermal paste 5 with a thermal conductivity of 6w / mk is in no way inferior, and sometimes even surpasses brands with a declared thermal conductivity of 10-12w / mk. I opted for 2 thermal pastes, Shin Etsu x23-7921-5 and a very cheap Chinese GD900-1 paste, the latter is also a very decent paste, although it is very cheap.

Test of liquid thermal pads K5 Pro, Frost Mining, Laird Tputty, though in Russian, but you can use subtitles with translation.

My bad, just now saw the two additional slots.

But how would you fix the SSDs that go over the other two?

In any case I would think that 2 slots would be enough for most people but I can only see "standard" solutions with one m2 slot - are you aware of a less costly solution that would hold two drives?

So the plan is to update our XMG Zenith variant of the P870TM-G with a better CPU and I am looking at the 9900 variants and the 10980HK.

9900K still seem to be hard to find at a good price so I have narrowed down the search to the 9900KF or the QTJ1 10980HK. @ViktorV are you aware of a good source for that QTJ1 10980HK chip?

Previously, qtj1 / 0 of the new revision with the ihs cover were on Aliexpress, but now they are not there. I ordered these processors from my supplier, but at the moment they also rarely appear, very popular and good processors for their money.

I did a search and indeed mostly found links to Taobao or other Chinese sites.

That is an interesting MXM to NVME card you have posted, do you have a source and price for it?

And does it automatically configure the two NVME SSDs on there as a hardware RAID?

I haven't tested these ssd to mxm adapters yet, but I talked to the person who develops them. As I wrote earlier, he only has a few test samples that he made at his own expense from a third-party printed circuit board manufacturer, and at the moment their cost is very high. As he says, if he can get a large number of orders for these adapters, then he can make it cheaper to manufacture.

OK, understood, looking forward to hear your thoughts!

The problem will be that it is almost only an interesting solution for people who had an SLI laptop and who want more than one added NVME SSD as there is already a single NVME version out there.

I always thought it was a bad use of board space to have only one NVME drive on a big MXM module!
