kojack Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 I am getting ready to max out my old acer (finally). I think it has the t7500 in it now. I am wondering will it run the 9900? I know one person here previously installed the t9500 cpu and it worked. Thoughts would be welcome. kojack Posted December 20, 2022 Author Posted December 20, 2022 Oh, sorry. It's the 2007 model acer aspire 7720. there was a big writeup on it on the old forum. I am going to do the 17" panel replacement to UHD 1080, upgrade the processor and increase the ram to 8gb. Kostyarik Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 Dunno how much it will help, but i have successfully installed T9900 in Aspire 8935g. Tried Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 as well, but motherboard didn't like it =( 1 Once you go 18.4, you never go back
kojack Posted January 27, 2023 Author Posted January 27, 2023 I think I found out that the t9500 is the fastest this system will acknowledge. I still need to find the HD screen for it too. The ram and keyboard are easy to get, but the screen, I have to make sure I buy the correct one.
