  1. Anyone else have an issue with this laptop where, while gaming, my external monitor goes black for a few seconds and then comes back. It's literally killing me (seems to happen just at the right time in firefights) because I can't see anything at crucial times. I had a ASUS 34" Ultrawide running 200Hz, and for the last 6 months, I now have a LG 49" Super Ultrawide monitor running at 200Hz. Both monitors experienced the same black screen issues. It's becoming more and more frequent, like 1 to 3 times a minute at worst. I guess I need to try a new cable? Or is this thing just not able to run at 200Hz consistently?
  2. So doing the EFI edits in the beginning of this thread no longer work?!? I just did it and updated those values CpuValues (the 4 items) and it isn't working. Originally on the old BIOS, it was working. I wonder if I need to go back to an even further back BIOS to enable those again? Has Dell made this thing pretty much worthless now? It was at least usable in gaming when I could undervolt it, now I'm getting 60-70 frames in my game (used to get 90-100 solid) with frequent dips into the 35 fps range where it almost locks up for a second when throttling. It's an absolute joke! 😡 EDIT: I also see they now have a 1.20.1 BIOS which was released on April 16th, does that one have the undervolt unlocked again?
  3. From the third screenshot, what on that page is the indication that undervolting protection is enabled? I initially did the manual bios changes in the first pages of this thread LONG ago, then upgraded to 1.18 or whatever the bios was that eliminated the need for it. I assume the latest garbage BIOS version then re-enabled the undervolt protection? Playing my FPS game, it's 100% evident it's throttling like mad now, used to get 80-100 fps and now I'm like 30-80, with a very high interval of tanking back down in the 30s and 40s. I'll attempt to unlock the BD PROCHOT that was mentioned a few pages prior. As far as enabling XMP, you have lost me there as I'm not familiar with it. I'll go through the three threads above to see if I can make any progress. Thanks!
  4. As of the last 3 weeks, something has happened to my laptop that is causing it to completely changeup the way that ThrottleStop is working. I am also getting a TON more throttling and studders when playing my game. The numbers in the FIVR aren't even the same anymore. I always used to set the CPU core and P Cache to around -110mV, change the iCCMax to like 255 (I didn't have to drag it too far left but now it's defaulting WAY up to 511?!@?). And then for the E Cache I'd set it to -90. I'd also change the cache ratio to 8 / 38 but it won't even let me change that anymore. Also, when I try to apply the settings, the offset no longer changes. To note: I did have 1.18 but went through the updated bios to allow me to kick it back to 1.16 so that is normal. I also have the 330W Alienware power supply hooked up to the unit. When going to 1.18, did it somehow relock the ability to undervolt or something? Can someone recommend what I should be changing/using, setting wise? I did read in here about the BD PROCHOT, that seems to be constantly on, so I should look into how to disable it?
  5. I have to thank everyone in this thread for the pioneering you've done for this platform. I've been a long time lurker but had to create an account because I had the issue of Windows constantly updating me to the 1.9.1 bios (thanks for the tip to turn it off!)🙂 I have a 7770 with the 12850HX and bone stock was around 14.5k-15k in the multi-thread test. So far, I'm still on the stock paste but with the core adjustments and undervolt (not as aggressive as OP's undervolt since he's on a 12950HX, I'm hitting 18.9k-19.0k. It would be great to hit the 20k mark with a re-paste but we will see. 🙂
