Digging up some old stuff, but how exactly did you manage to get it replaced? What reason did you give? Did you notice the flickering itself with your own eyes or did it make you feel not well in any way? What did you tell Dell about it?
I've recently bought a 7550 with a BOE display, still under warranty. Using my smartphone I can notice flickering in low brightness but other than that it looks stunning. The other AUO displays are far worse than BOE, when it comes to gamut, contrast and brightness, so I'm a bit confused if I should replace mine in one way or another.
