quadro also has error correcting ram and tends to run games a little slower. are you all using quadros or is there some magic gpu fairy? because i'm only seeing quadros on ebay???

they are listing the rtx 5000 as an rtx quadro, Quadro RTX 5000 16GB MXM3.0 Video Card DAXW3UB7CA0 for HP ZBook 17 G6 i dont think there is an rtx 5000 non quadro. perhaps the rtx 3000 series alone is the rtx 2000 series? but, perhaps the 3000 is mid range and 5000 is top range and it's up to buyer to figure out the gpu architecture? it all seems so confusing right now also just looking around the clevo cards require a power cable, granted yall said somewhere on these forums that they are all wildy shapen and proprietary or extra large.

i got a 330 and am also looking at doubling the heat size, i may also have a 5 heatpipe cooler around here. anyone know how much an RTX5000 should cost and where to get one? and how much for a 3500 for that matter? wonder if an overclocked ivy bridge can even keep up beyond an rtx3500

ivy bridge is as high as an m17x r4 will go right? as in it won't take a Intel i7 Core 4900 series haswell?

i've heard the sata ports run faster than the msata ports? i then got to thinking about how even bios/software raids with SSD back then gave atleast a small uplift in performance. wanted to know if anyonme knew if 2 sata SSDs in raid were worth it? i'f gonna get a sata SSD, might as well get 2 matching SSDs. assuming video card upgrades don't intrude on the sata drive location. mine are free now with a gtx980m

yeah well the problem is parts. those laptops can last but, you'll be buying no name branded batteries in 3.5 years. at least FW and System76 will sell you a battery of OEM. also bettery linux integration. HP will likley be getting a trial run as well. Though i have to say system76 has been around longer and i've only heard good things about them and even see their employee in social media groups. They also have been working to get board level repairs folks schematics for repairs, then again so has framework. FW needs time to prove them selves still. for example thier gfx card format is no more common than mxm

Our topic on windows for enterprise was locked after i started discussing how to legally purchase windows 11 LTSC through the MS volume lisinceing partner portal. as some of you may know the AMD frameworks have Microsoft Pluton embeded in to the motherboard. Your TPM is tied to windows 11 if you have to run windows. if you use Framework in the business sector you might use an enterprise version. after posting links to the official MS pages for business to show people where they are located the thread was locked for "Piracy". instead of banning the guy and deleting his comments they locked the entire thread. FYI you can NOT disable Pluton on framework. I feel like framework is getting worse not better. you can't order via P.O, you can't set legacy TPM for business still stuck on w10, discussion of LTSC is frowned upon. there was an unlocked bios for the R4 at some point, or so i thought. guess i need to poke around my bios and see what i have. well it's nice to know it's matter of naming scheme, so the rtx 3k and 4k aren't' quadros. ARC is too unpredictable atm and haven't seen an AMD MXM in a loong while. i'm bad about bios mods, i can sort of follow the guides until they ask you to look for a hex value or address at which point my brain.exe stops responding. You guys think it might be possible to PAY someone to mod my bios? am i going to need windows or can i get by with bootable USB to flash my bios? perhaps i am putting the cart before the horse.

no way it's size limitation of 128 bytes, thats way too small. is it eFused? can we not buy a vbios chip and program it and solder it on?
