Thanks to your instruction, with those infomations I visited a local youtuber who took off my bios chip and wrote the original bios using a programer, he did it for free.
After he soldered it back that my computer was resurrected and only cost me tens of usd as a way to get there.đ
Before that all the computer repairers I found told me the motherboard was completely damaged and needed at least 350 usd to replace it. đ¤
The reason I'm considering to upgrade to the 10900KF is that the X170SMG can't enable its integrated graphics due to missing its power providing , and it seems to be a very good match for the F version CPUs.
And the 10900KF is only $40 more expensive than the 10700K on the used market here, and if you can live with a 10900KF with a corner missing (or at least the seller claims that it doesn't affect it's functionality at all), it's even only $200. In any case, the 10900F/KF is the best CPU that can be installed on the X170SMG.
But unlike the CPU cheap upgrade option, even if selling the old 2080SMXM, upgrading to the 3080MXM will still cost me at least 300USD more here.
Considering what you've said, I wouldn't think about this option anymore.
One last bad news, the ZRT series graphics card size is not compatible with our laptops, as you can see one of the corners of our graphics card has missing, and their cards are all full rectangles. Not only that, Their graphics cards also lack support for edp, not to mention we need a stronger cpu and power supply to support it.
But even if it's no longer possible to make further performance improvements, I'm still impressed with the design of this laptop.âď¸
