Hi everyone, I'm interested in the Dell Pro Max 18 Plus as well and have a few questions:

	1. Does HDMI work with iGPU only? Are there any relevant display restirctions with iGPU only?

I'm not a gamer in theory and might be interested in the dGPU because of AI stuff or maybe CUDA or similar experiments, while that add-on is pretty expensive. So I might as well not use dGPU at all, but I don't fully understand the docs about the different GPU modes and some of those mentioned HDMI using dGPU only.

	2. Any experiences with Linux-support?

I'm considering switching from Windows 10 to Linux, most likely Ubuntu 24.04 LTS for a long time already. Would like to know especially about firmware updates of BIOS, possibly dGPUs and stuff. Have a Thinkpad P15vGen2 at work and that gets firmware updates regularly using a special Windows tool. My current private laptop is out-of-support for many years already, so I can't compare. For a new device, I guess it makes sense to be able to update firmwares somewhat regularly. Other manufactures like Schenker support that using UEFI-shell. Dell seems to publish some firmware updates using Linux infrastructure, but would like to know if anyone used that already and how well it works.

	3. Performance hickups?

I'Ve read in two comments about new users who described that their devices either seem to lock CPU+GPU performance under certain conditions or that they get strange delays when switchin GPUs, with strange sounds and stuff. Did anyone else observe sduch behaviour?

	4. Slow display with ghosting?

One user did describe the display as slow with visibale ghosting, others seem to be pretty happy about. Again, am not a gamer, so does ghosting/slowness happen on Linux/Windows desktops and apps as well? I have somewhat old FHD displays only currently, in my old laptops, the externals displays. So the quality of the Dell display is most likely better than what I have anyway? Thoiugh, my external displays are Eizos, so somehwat high quality at the time when bought.

	5. What about Qualcomm NPUs?

When reading about the Dell, some Qualcomm NPUs as replacement of the GPUs were mentioned multiple times. But I wasn't able to find any prices or details, only some mentions of 64 GiB RAM and stuff. Did anyone have any news about that? Again, I'm not a gamer, but might(!) be interested in AI. Would be interesting to know a price point compared to the different dGPU possible in the device.

	6. Anyone regretting already and why?

This device is pretty expensive and currently I'm even a private interestee only... 🙂 OTOH, I went pretty well with my former Fujitsu Celsius H730, which was somewhat similar in price.

Many thanks for any of your insights!
