I have the Raider 18HX and would to know more details about the parts required to restore the third SSD slot including any DIY instructions/video for a full upgrade to Titan 18HX.
-
Upgrade didn't work so Fresh installed Windows 11 24H2. Kept windows drivers and only installed Nvidia drivers and Clevo Control Center. Everything is working fine now including "CPU Memory OC" utility.
-
I have a Clevo P775TM1-G (8700K/1080) running Windows 10 and Control Center 5.0001.1.88 Updated to Windows 11 but "CPU Memory OC" utility is not working. Trying to launch results in the utility startup animation getting stuck forever. I have already tried different Windows compatibility modes without success. Anyone who resolved this?
-
Updated to Windows 11 24H2 but "CPU Memory OC" utility is not working. Anyway I can disable just this utility so it won't load OC drivers. I will OC from BIOS/XTU/Throttlestop.

I actually upgraded once (2 years ago) to Windows 11 and CCC was not working so reverted back to Windows 10. You have upgraded CPU and GPU so may be with a different BIOS it supports Windows 11. I will give it a shot again with Windows 11 24H2 and report back.

My CLEVO P775TM1-G (specs in signature) is still in as good as new condition (changed keyboard and battery) but it is still running Windows 10 and I would like to upgrade to Windows 11. The issue is that the Control Center and CPU/GPU/keyboard controls are not compatible with Windows 11. I tried contacting the place where I originally bought it from and was told that the system is not compatible and there is nothing they can do about it. I didn't buy the Obsdian utilities and they are gone anyway so that's out of question too. Looking for a replacement for Control Center (mainly for fan control), CPU/GPU OC Utility and Keyboard 3-zone RGB control.

MSI Titan 18HX Dragon Edition Norse Myth "Official Thread"
qadhi79 replied to electrosoft's topic in MSI
Best thing about this laptop is the 4 NVME SSD slots (1xGen5 + 3xGen4) but RAM slots are reduced from 4 to 2 compared to the previous one- 14 replies

MSI Raider GE76 12th Generation - Costco Special
qadhi79 replied to qadhi79's topic in Bargains & Sales
Here is the update -
Finally I have my hands on the GE76. The one I picked up is the Costco edition with the following specifications: MSI Raider GE76 12UGS-201 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-12700H Processor NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3070Ti, 8GB 32GB (16G*2) DDR5 4800MHz 1TB NVMe SSD Gen4x4 17.3" IPS FHD (1920 x 1080) 360Hz 3ms Display Steel Series RGB with Anti-Ghost Keyboard Windows 11 Home (64-bit) Full specs: https://storage-asset.msi.com/specSheet/us/nb/Raider GE76 12UGS-201.pdf I have updated to Windows 11 Professional and going to add a 2TB Samsung 970 EVO soon. Intel has done some magic with the 12th generation and this laptop is fast. My primary laptop was a CLEVO with 8700K (delidded and OCed) and I was expecting to see little improvement as the 8700K is already quick enough or so I thought. The chassis is well built and has a premium feel to it. Plenty of ports for external devices. 2 USB3 ports, 1 USB3 Gen2 Type-A port, 1 USB3 Gen2 Type-c port/Thunderbolt 3 and a dedicated Thunderbolt 4 port along with the typical HDMI, audio and mini-display ports. I mainly use laptops for work so the USB3 Gen2 and Thunderbolt 3/4 ports are a huge advantage. The number of ports and their speed is a deciding factor for me when choosing between laptops. At the time of writing this, I already have half a dozen external devices connected to it. The 12700H is exceptionally fast and a huge upgrade but runs hot. The 12th non K processors cannot be undervolted so I had to play around with different TDP values to get optimal results. According to reviews there is little different this year between the 12900HK and 12700H other than being locked/unlocked. Here are few quick benches to show its potential. 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700H @ 4110.0MHz - 6317 XTU marks on HWBOT I am sure these scores can be improved a little. Waiting for the weekend for a re-paste and adding the 2TB NVME. I was skeptical moving from CLEVO but MSI GE76 is a beast which turned to be a very pleasant surprise!

Checked with them before ordering and decided to go for a warehouse pickup. Been checking on other websites to see if the 12900HK shows up but no success. The Costo model will arrive tomorrow in their warehouse where I have asked to collect. Have a flight same day so will review once I am home. -
MSI Raider GE76 12th Generation - Costco Special

GentechPC did an unboxing and teardown of GE66 which shows that the CPU paste was not done right. I really wanted the GE76 with 12900HK/3070Ti but unable to find them anywhere. Flying out of US in 2 days so ended up ordering the GE76 12700H/3070Ti from Costco. Without undervolt a re-paste and lower TDP may be the only option for now. -

Now this is a good looking laptop but a deal killer with the RTX 3050Ti Not enough laptops this year with G-Sync which may be something to do with certification. The G-Sync requires a different BIOS so wonder if they will release new models to cover up. -
MSI Raider GE76 12th Generation - Costco Special

I would compare MSI GE76 with the likes of Alienware x17 R2, ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 and Razer Blade 17 all of which have the same specifications. MSI GE76 is offered in FHD, QHD and 4K which is no different from the competition and personally I always pick FHD as the font size suits my usage. The combination of higher nits, 16:10 and extremely good panels are offered in laptops used for designing like Apple MacBook Pro, ASUS Flow, MSI Creator, etc. Please share if you know of any competitors offering VRR or G-Sync/FreeSync, 16:10 and over 300 nits in their latest "gaming" lineup. -

I am guessing you have not checked MSI lineup in a while as all of the things you mentioned and some more are already offered by MSI. -

GenTechPC recently posted a review and teardown of 15" GE66 (12900HK/3080Ti) showing the paste which was uneven may be because of the bad application or thermal pads size. If the same is with GE76 then a repaste will hopefully help with better cooling Heatsink removal at 11:10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zudstigL6T4

Another NBR refugee here. CLEVO 2022 PD50/PD70, NP60, V15/V17 https://www.clevo.com.tw/ces_2022/index.html Found PD50 and PD70 listed on XoticPC but with incomplete specifications which are mostly marked as TBD Not much details on CLEVO website other than the short video introduction. Anyone with more details about specifications and availability?
