  1. which one is it? There doesnt appear to be one specific to indexing and finding files via that way.
  2. Hi everyone, I am just curious, has anyone successfully used windows driver verifier with LTSC? I was reading up on it and from the looks of it, it can potentially crash and lock one out of their PC, if not brick the thing, which kind of makes me a little leary of using it. Still, the thought of getting out some deep bugs or finding issues that are related to that is appealing, since its almost never used and not often known even. Here is just some information on it. Driver Verifier - Windows drivers | Microsoft Learn really, I am just trying to figure out how to make this thing as stable and well performing as I can. So whether its this, or maybe some debugger, I am open to what you have to say. Now, someone told me lately that when it comes to Chipset drivers, you want to touch those as little as possible. Granted I can get that, but being the nvidia guy I am, driver updates and bugs are common place and often times just a crap shot. Take here for instance these AMD chipset drivers which I use, they release a new one as often as every 3 months, so what might that tell you? Just click previous drives for instance here. AMD Ryzen™ and Athlon™ Mobile (Chipset) Drivers & Support | AMD I dont know why AMD updates so often, while for intel its every year or more.
  3. Alright, I tried the stuff but wasnt particularly liking of it. Either A7000 or Laird 607 works far better.
  4. Alright thanks. For me it just seems to random not work at all, or switches to classic instead of enhanced, so I am not sure what to do. It usually works fine otherwise, though I think it might also be latest updates. And this is on LTSC of all operating systems... this said, is there perhaps some way to get indexing to work right?
  5. Thank you, how would you say it compares to power toys or opus directory?
  6. Of all the issues I consistently have with windows, the indexing feature seems to always falter the most. Anywhere from not finding a file next to another, to it completely stop working one day with no apparent reason why with no settings changed in it. Hell, even at times if I am typing into it, it will literally stop accepting input and cease to work. Any suggestions? I am in LTSC 2021 IOT. Is there maybe some 3rd party program that does better? Or is there a way to have indexing work properly? I keep setting it to enhanced, giving it all the time to build index, with nothing lmportant left out of indexing, and it usually works fine, but I dont know. Maybe it was a latest update, but I have found it to not work well even if updates where not an issue.
  7. I am hoping someone can help me, but I installed W10 LTSC 2021 on my new device, and when I was trying to sign in, it wouldnt let me sign in via my normal email that I sign into normal windows with, I think it was wanting a corporate email or something official looking as I dont remember its exact wording, so I just installed with a local offline account. Forgive my ignorance on this matter, but how do I diagnose this? Among other things, it was not accepting my LTSC key, which I am not sure what to make of it as the key seller has worked quite well for me a number of times in the past. Is there some way to tell if my key is wrong, or if I just screwed up the installation? I did the ISO via rufus and selected the "no telemetry" option for it. What am I missing? Update: Okay, after some digging, it seems that aftermarket "Grey" keys only work on 3rd party ISO LTSC installation methods, rather then just using a key from an installation of official MS evaluation upgrade as is typical with W10 pro/home, etc. Can anyone recommend a good 3rd party iso for this since I cannot get a non-evaluation iso from microsoft? or what do your recommend?
  8. I am curious, has anyone tried W11 IOT 2022? There are two IOT W11's out, however does the current dismay to W11 apply to them? Given that most dont talk about them I am not sure.
  9. Hey just out of curiousity, You went with IOT 2021, did you ever run into issues with IOT specifically? I get they are basically the same as none IOT, but if theres something I should look for with IOT, it would be nice to know.
  10. Okay thats what I am going to try. Every other tutorial said I have to do it from an ISO file, but if a normal self extracting USB formatted drive works for this, then I am will go right for that.
  11. I am curious, can I install LTSC 2021 from a standard USB installation media, enter LTSC 2021 key and it goes from there? Or does LTSC have some special way of doing this? The videos I have seen all have it show up as an option to install, but I dont recall if thats before or after you input the key. I am sorry but I dont recall as I only do this like every 4 years or so. I dont know how many of you do it, installing windows every month or something.
  12. Oh awesome. You might try disabling memory compression if you have alot of ram, as that is known to cause problems with programs. I am curious, what windows are you using? I am thinking about W10 LTSC 2021, though I am trying to figure out why its only being supported to 2027, while LTSC 2019 is being supported till 2029.
  13. What where the results of the win 11 tests compared to LTSC 2021? What are these tweaks you speak of? I will be honest, I rarely upgrade and dont much get into this as much as I used to, so i love reading up these things, preferably with real tests.
  14. Does that include W11 enterprise? I hear the most bugs about W11, but not much on enterprise.
  15. People here often like to talk the most about W10 2019 LTSC, is the performance/reliability gain truly that much? Or would regular W11 enterprise or W10 enterprise not much better? I would think disabling telemetry, app store, etc. wouldnt be that difficult with the later 2, and I am really interested in the later two for long support and feature updates that I would only really need once or twice a year. Among other things, I am concerned about all the bugs with W11.
