FIPS have proven ability to resist hacking and protection of the biometric data. It's required by US Government and Military, other countries, and many companies. As a work-from-home cybersecurity consultant, I don't need this level of security.

From my business rep for a 7770: "I checked with my manager and it got delayed to Thursday the 23rd now, but he thinks this will go into production on Thursday and we won’t need to replace the order." Here's hoping this is it. The HP and Lenovo systems are still "Coming Soon" and look attractive, especially the keyboard layout.

I can confirm the delay, but not the time. My sales rep also said delayed availability due to lockdowns in China.

I am wondering if a 2.5Gbe Thunderbolt 4 adapter is plugged into the 7x70, would the workstation support the higher ethernet speed?

Hello, My first post at NotebookTalk, so please be gentle. I am in the process of getting a quote and then the purchase a Precision 7770 for my small business. The sales rep is trying to answer my questions but seems to be limited to what is published. The two questions posed to the rep are: 1) does the ethernet port support 2.5Gbe and 2) what is the average and TGP delivered to the RTX GPUs. I have my doubts that I will get an answer. I also asked about the WD19DCS (or WD19DC) docs and possible updates. The rep replied that this is the dock for the 7000 series. I was hoping Dell would match HP G4 dock with more power and 2.5Gbe support. I may wait on the Dell dock. At least I can get it cheaper through resellers.
