Just noticed the "Storage" is set as "RAID On" in BIOS of my new 7770. This is weird, I never requested to have RAID on, especially when there is only one SSD installed. I plan to have 4 SSD installed, and will primarily use Linux. Should I set it to "AHCI/NVMe"? Is there any added benefit for Dell to set it as "RAID On" by default?

The order page had been showing "Build Complete and sheduled to arrive end of month". Suddenly it shows the machine has arrived in Chicargo and will be delivered in two days 🥳

Nice. Will find out which gets delivered first, the new SSD, or my 7770 ordered 40 days ago😂

Is this throttling managed by Windows or BIOS? I wonder if the performance can be better in Linux 🤔

Mine the same ... And now worse news: "The Chinese city of Shenzhen told 100 major companies including iPhone maker Foxconn to set up "closed-loop" systems as it battles COVID-19." https://www.usnews.com/news/technology/articles/2022-07-25/china-puts-iphone-maker-cnooc-into-shenzhen-closed-loop-to-battle-covid-bloomberg-news I don't know if Dell factory is affected 😭

Yeah, that's exactly how I found out the slowness. When my VM file is located on QLC, it gives me random freezes.

😍 Must avoid QLC! Have a Samsung QLC 8 TB at hand, very slow!

👍 Have to do some research. Previously, its just a no-brainer for me to go with Samsung 970 Pro with MLC chips. Now every brand is using the shady TLC 😅

Thanks! I may go with Samsung 980 Pro 2TB, or the Sabrent brand that I'm not familiar to. I'm a bit disappointed with the latest Samsung 980 Pro, because instead of MLC, it's using TLC for pro line now. I wonder what brand Dell is actually using for the 4TB SSD in 7770/7670. At such a high price, is it faster/more reliable than the Sabrent 4TB?

Does anyone has recommendation of 4TB SSD? Planning to get two of them for my upcoming 7770.

Maybe the GPU availability plays out here? Apparently not many people ordered 3080Ti so no shortage for this variant.

I'm not an expert at all. I just want to make sure I have the maximum capability to use cuda for machine learning 😅 It's very possible I wasted some money here... I'm from US. I guess it's because you ordered way early than me. Some company might have triggered a batch order in between?
