Based on how I feel that they went backwards with D3 from D2, I'm not going to buy D4.

No no no, to get the zip gun thing I need to go into caves. I don't do caves. It's dark and scary in there :))

Me too... the building mechanics are very cool. My dream is a tower/house somewhere in the forest... all the way to just above the tree-line. Still thinking about how to do this without cutting down all the trees right at the building area 🙂

That does look amazing and I sort of hate myself for not playing it. I tried, I played for a good few hours and while it's extremely nice looking and complex with a great story, I'm just not a fan of that era (cowbows, early america, etc). For me it's either futuristic/cyberpunk/post apocalyptic or much further back like TW3

I did it. Couldn't stop myself. Bought Sons of the Forest... mostly based on a few gameplay videos I've seen. Hoping it'll be as fun as it looked there...

I'm thinking of trying the Sons of the Forrest. Never played the first game but this looks quite interesting...

I'm still having a lot of fun with Days Gone. I don't understand how this game flew under the radar for so long... feels like it should get much more attention, it really is very well made. That feeling when exploring randomly and I hear the horde music slowly ramping up is just crazy. I'm either on my bike flying away or jumping in the nearest bush in the blink of an eye 🙂 If I can just get one complaint, it's pretty much the same as for Dying Light 2. The nights are not dark enough. It would make such a cool atmosphere to get really lifelike pitch black nights in these games.

Anyone playing this new harry potter game? Any good?
-
OMG, looks like Steam will let just about anything through... I do think it won't stay up for long though. lol

I'm doing exactly the same. Having a lot of fun with Days Gone. This time I started on Hard and so far it's a blast to play. Not too easy, not too hard. A few zombies (yes I will call them zombies!) are enough to overwhelm me if not prepared. I like the stealth approach so far but we'll see later when I get some more weapons. For now, crossbow headshots are the way to go.

I think I'm not jumping in to DL2 just yet. I realized I hadn't finished Days Gone and I had so much fun with it. Installing it back now. This should cover my zombies fix for a while. ...I wish it would let me smack in the face that old woman running her labor camp. I really disliked her.

Ha 🙂 Good point, I'm doing that as well.

I recall two annoying things which may be fixed by mods. Is there anything to make the light transition from indoor to outdoor better? During the day when going in random houses, the change would be so sudden and annoying. All windows fully open, on all sides, yet the engine thinks it needs to be completely dark in there during the day. On a similar note, is there a mod to make nights actually nights? I mean make them much darker and present a real threat, not just dim the lights as it is now.

Cool, I was actually thinking it's about time for another proper DL2 run. Now that I've seen the story, I could focus on completing more side stuff. It really was a cool game, I was just mad at it that they dumbed down the scary factor by a lot, compared to DL1. Good to hear it's now without denuvo. I actually made up a rule for myself, I will skip any game which has denuvo from the start. Lately I've been doing just fine not having bought Callisto Protocol and now Deliver us Mars, both of which I had been looking fw to.

True, this was a huge turnoff for me as well and whenever I'd bring this exact point up, the fanbois would go crazy (on tesla forums...). On the other hand, I did want to drive one for the longest time and eventually I ended up buying a used Model S. Had it for a couple years and sold it when the used cars market went nuts, for exactly what I had paid for it, lol Apart from the crazy accelerations, they have nothing, really nothing well designed. The fit and finish was sub par, under the "hood" there were obvious quality issues by having loads of cut corners and design shortcuts, and most importantly, as you said, the lack of physical switches and having to use a touchscreen while driving, is borderline dangerous for most. I really did love the crazy acceleration and some of the autopilot party tricks... otherwise, we're not there yet with EVs.

Technically the Model S is a hatch as well 😁

I'm sticking to the Witcher this time. I already have about 30 hours in and not bored. I haven't even reached Novigrad yet, been doing lots of side stuff. When I do get tired of it, I jump in a few PUBG sessions... enjoying that a lot as well.

Hard to contain myself to not say what I would do to have these movies, lol

Right, ok. I haven't played the DLCs at all, wanted to try now but we'll see if I stick with it. Are the DLCs integrated in the main "campaign" or I need to start separately? Speaking of Doom, this made me go and look back on the previous games... very confusing, Doom 3 - Doom - Doom Eternal. I think Doom 3 (BFG) is the one that might warrant a replay. It's been a long time and I think it's the only one which sort of is in line with Doom's true nature/atmosphere. Mean time, I did start the Witcher and I have high hopes I'll stick to it this time all the way. I'm still fumbling around White Orchard and getting used to the controls. Back in 2018 when I played it a lot, I used mouse/keyboard. Now I'm trying with a controller.

I hear you. My pet peeve is Epic. To this day I still don't have an account there and I'm proud of this fact. Steam, gog and uplay (ugh, for FarCry).

You're talking about Doom or the Witcher? I stopped playing The Witcher with about 80 hours in and pretty late in the main story. If I recall right, I was about to or just got the grandmaster armor set... not sure. It wasn't boring to me but at that point I did start breezing through... nothing would present any significant threat. On the other hand I didn't start any of the DLC quests so can't say about those. Either way, if I start playing it, I'll do it from the start... it's been a really long time since I played it.

Haven't played anything for the past couple weeks, I miss the fun of discovering and playing through a whole new game. Sad that we have to revisit previous releases because there's nothing new worthwhile out there. I'd still like to try The Callisto Protocol but I'm not giving them any $ for the crap they pulled... I'm considering starting a fresh playthrough of the Witcher3 but I need to be sure, this time I want to stick with it if I do start it. Mean time, I installed Doom Eternal last night... I like it and I'd like to finish it. Played only for a few hours back when it was released.

I believe that's a myth... I used to have a thing with red cars. All my cars for over 20 years have been red and I was never in an accident. On the contrary, I used to believe being red makes it stand out and easier to be seen/avoided.

Scratch that. Won't be playing Callisto Protocol, at least for a while. I really hate when publishers pull this crap. They announced it comes with Denuvo a week before release. This is not about piracy, I'd gladly pay for it but I know with Denuvo, performance will be impacted. What's next, microtransactions in all single player games? aaanyway, we should be good, lots of other good games still out there that I need to get to
