I'm still having fan issues, it keeps randomly switching to automatic and then not turning on. Causing an overheat
-
I'm having a weird instance sometimes where the fans aren't kicking on or speeding up like they are supposed to, causing the computer to overheat. If the bios version is the same as it was months ago, I am up to date on it too. Also I have random sound distortion at times again. It's all crackily

Green lol. I don't like it

updated bios, lol now i have a gray xmg image on boot, makes me wonder... is it possible to change the boot image to something custom?
-
so i put the kryosheets in, the cpu desktop temps are sitting in the low 80s to high 70s at full fan speed as i monitor with the control center 3.0 program. and the ingame temps are still fluctuating between 101 and 88. it averages a bit lower on stress but otherwise, slight improvements i see but it still isnt the best and i made that stuff flush.

i feel like both would, im using alienware and thats an ultrawide with 165hz, and i came from a 144hz. i sometimes use both
-
safety first, anyways it came in the mail, so ill take it apart maybe sunday or next weekend
-
I'm sure a dab of kryonaut to hold it in place will help
-
is it safer than liquid metal though? i fried my motherboard with that
-
thanks, ill get the order set up on amazon... so 2 business months lol theres no risk of this like there is with liquid metal right? just set it and forget it? ill probably get a tiny thing of kryonaut just to hold it in place at the corners

which size sheet should i get before i tear apart my laptop?
-
True but I don't want to risk too much pressure. Plus there must be a reason thermal paste is still popular
-
its been a while since ive done thermal paste, what is the goto these days? and how much should i get?
-
Interesting new thing, my CPU temp is jumping between high 70s up to 100 in-game. Need ideas. Thermal paste is almost a couple years old by now

Where are the latest bios files these days?
