after all the mess around bios v1.18, I downgraded and it seems like it did a factory reset, which is ok. The problem is that most of the time (no always tho) when the computer sleeps, it restarts, just like if a reset button was pushed. I remember reading something about this, that needed something in the bios to be disabled/enabled but I can't remember what. Does anybody know what I should do? I think this is the log event from that reboot: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000009f (0x0000000000000003, 0xffff970dce288060, 0xffffb90bf06ef738, 0xffff970dd7090bb0). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\Minidump\030224-28531-01.dmp. I tried that as soon as I noticed that v1.18 had issues but it didn't work... The re assembled bios doesn't show anything in the update list when you run it. Not sure why... It would be great if we got it to work tho so we can downgrade it at any time we need.

so.. windows update made the HUGE favor of updating my bios to 1.9.1.. I didn't know it could do it, but ok, I downgraded it and it worked fine. turns out that EVERY TIME I restart my computer it updates the bios again to 1.9.1, doesn't matter what I do. If I downgrade, it works fine anb the restart after the update goes back to windows which confirms it's on 1.8, but if I restart it again, it triggers the bios update to 1.9.1.... does anyone know how to stop this? I also disabled drivers update (which include bios) in group policy now...

I updated my nvidia drivers to latest, 531.18 and the trick to unlock more performance doesn't seem to work anymore... can anyone confirm it?

After enabling resizable bar, GPU didn't like it but CPU did! 🤣 it was ~13k before

it's not that I can't use GPU, it's just task manager that never report it to be above 10% usage with gpu scheduling disabled...

nevermind... it's back to 100% usage if I re-enable Hardware-accelerated GPU Schedulling.

I had disabled the dGPU one as well and just noticed the performance drop when I tried to play a game. btw, the issue with mouse freezing is still happening, I re-enabled dGPU c-states now and I'll see how it goes, very annoying

does the "new" heatsink (not delta) really makes a difference? How did you guys got dell to ship a new one? Just asked for it or did you say it doesn't work?

has anyone noticed a very annoying issue where the mouse freezes every few seconds? for example, if you open ms paint and keep drawing circles, you can clearly see this happening... if I restart it stops for a while but then it starts happening again, I just tried to disable accelerated gpu scheduling to see if it helps, but if anyone knows how to fix this it would be great!

Just adding some more cool info about performance... I have an android app, this app takes ~3m40s to build on my desktop Threadripper 2950X (16c, 32t). This same app takes ~2m33s to build on my 7770 in Optmized and just 1m23s in Ultra Performance. This is what matters to me and I'm very happy with the machine. I think I noticed some benefits from applying the PTM7950 to it, I wasn't sure about the size needed so it turns out I still have enough to apply it to 2 or 3 more machines. Anyone in Australia? I could ship it if you want, just pay for postage, or anywhere really... Thanks!

I used my lunch time to apply the new pad, here's the before and after... I have only the IA AC/DC loadline fix, didn't undervolt. My unit also came with Delta fans... Geekbench also reported 148k for the gpu test. Don't know why the single core in geekbench dropped tho...

I didn't know that! I just ran hitman's benchmark with "Cool", it gets less than 70k, with "Optmized" it gets 140k and with "Ultra Performance" it gets 143k! Now Hitman at 4k gets 70fps! I love this game. I was feeling terrible to see my old desktop RTX 2080 beat it, but now the rtx 3080 ti beats it by more than 70%! My PTM7950 just got delivered! I think I will give it a try later and compare the tests... I just tried to build an apk in release mode of my app in android studio and it throtled soooo badly... omg! Thank you!

how is your 3080 ti performing? I just tried to play hitman 3, and it's getting around 20 fps in 4k, scoring just under 70k in geekbench... my desktop rtx 2080 (not ti) beats it scoring almost 120k!

could you post your values? I would give it a try, also, is this possible to set the turbo group ratios with setup_var as well? right now the best settings for my system is 45 for P cores and 35 for E cores... but I will check this again after I apply the new thermal pad

I don't have hyper-v enabled but I need virtualization for wsl and android emulators... I will try to figure out setup_var values to set it and try later, but I can't have virtualization disabled

turns out it seems like TS doesn't work with virtualization enabled... when I disabled it in bios it works, I even got some blue screens playing with the sliders now TS also shows the offset values and not zeros anymore, but I need virtualization enabled so not much I can do I think
