  1. See the solution here. https://notebooktalk.net/topic/632-dell-precision-7670-dell-precision-7770-owners-thread/page/59/
  2. Thanks so much for the advise I did exactly as you have mentioned step for step. Switchable graphics back off Run DDU and tell it to whack the Intel graphics driver Switchable graphics back on Install the current Intel GPU driver from Dell's site And so far so good. Busy testing still but after an hour it still seems fine. I downloaded the driver from Dell rebooted. but have not opened the Intel software just in case it starts giving problems. Holding thumbs it keeps working. Thank you so much. Sending all the thanks in the world
  3. Thanks for the advise I will give tis a try this AM. I need to get to the bottom of it. on 1.21.1 PC it very glitchy
  4. Thanks for the suggestion. My problem is not that I want to use HDR its that I want to turn it OFF. Problem is that when I turn it OFF that when i Have issues. I would like it off especially on batteruy but it just causes the screen to flash on and off
  5. Ok so I changed the switchable graphics in Bios. ( Hybrid graphics) It was on so I turned it off and tested HDR which all works fine. Problem is that I am then using the discreet graphics which chews battery. So I went back into Bios and turned hybrid graphics back on, and problem has come straight back, which forces me to use HDR all the time. Either way it effects my battery. Any idea what else I can try
  6. Its disabling it that I cant do. It makes me enable it on both battery and power. I am wanting to disable it. Thanks for the reply appreciate it
  7. Thanks for the fast reply. It makes this laptop unusable. And I am not using an external monitor either. Is the latest Bios version 1.21.1 ok or should i go back to 1.20.1. I cant go back further without the bios bridge I will toggle the switchable graphics in Bios first before DDU. Otherwise I have to reinstall the drivers again
  8. It seems that my problems are also Bios related. Currently updated to 1.21.1 and I cant turn HDR off at all as the screen just flashes on and off nonstop. Can someone please post the link to the Bios bridge so i can downgrade to 1.16 as the link in this thread no longer works. See my post here of my problem
  9. Hopefully someone else has been able to solve this issue. Problem as follows: Last week I noticed that if I unplugged my laptop power and went on to battery that the screen would start flashing off and on continuously until I plugged the power back in. (always did it once or twice but stayed on no issues before) Tried the whole refresh rate thing didnt make a difference Even if I booted it up without power plugged in it would still do it. (PC spends 98% of its life on battery so not sure when this started) I then figured out that if I turn HDR on when on Battery (HDR optimised for image quality) that it would not flicker at all not even when unplugging or plugging power in, (has always been On when PLUGGED IN and OFF for battery since purchasing it) I then tried to turn HDR OFF when plugged in and HDR OFF (HDR optimised for battery life) when on battery, the problem then returned, screen flashing on and off whether plugged in to power or on battery. PC becomes completely useless. This means that I can no longer use the Laptop unless I have HDR activated all the time. This just chews battery power. PC and details below: I have a Dell Precision 7770 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12950HX 2.30 GHz 32gB RAM Win 11 Pro 22h2 Nvidia RTX A3000 12GB Software is only Office 365 and nothing else. Normal Dell updates and Window updates done. Tried to undo Dell updates and return to previous date but somehow one of the last updates turned that feature off so I cant go back in time. I really don't want to have to reinstate to factory ( knowing Dell it wont and I will have to rebuild each deriver etc.) I am hoping someone has seen this before. I have Googled since Friday spent hours a day since and cant find anything online with the same issues. Please Help if you can. Regards DavidQ
  10. Thanks for the reply. Are you saying I simply power down the PC install it boot up and add second drive in the control panel as RAID array. Or must it be added in BIOS Any where I can find the correct steps. Also will this M.2 1TB PCIe NVMe Class 40 Solid drive work with the new 7770 with the new SSD M.2 2280 1 TB, Gen 4 PCIe x4 NVMe, Solid State Drive Thanks for the assistance
