Thanks. I used a custom made fan controller in the older days with my modded Lian Li chassis connected with an Phase change. But in the older days you had lots of drive bays in the front. Not so much nowadays. I will check out if I can buy something like the Lamptron PCI Bracket 4-Way High Power Fan Controller here home. Everything today is more and more based on software bloatware. Intel have saved up some chips to charge premium. Exactly in the same as Nvidia did for 3090 Ti. Maybe not as nasty, but still disgusting. Nvidia want heafty premium for 2.5%. Intel a bit better with 4% performance increase. Why not release it as next gen chips? They did that for older gen chips. 4% performance increase yearly. But this won't be as profitable as a new SKU on same old model line. Intel's Core i9-12900KS CPU Surfaces for Close to $800 tomshardware.com Feb 15, 2021 A hefty premium for a minimum clock speed uplift. -

I just can't stand have Corsair ICUE installed. I have bought some 1-to-4 splitters. They had 3 packs of this one below in the web stores here home. Connect the PWM signal to MB fan headers and try make an fan profile in bios. Is there another software that can easly change fan speed on the go? I have Speed fan in top of my head but is there better options? Software that is click and run. Open the software, max out the fans and then disable the software again. Same for putting an fan profile, then disable the software. Click and go. ICUE is still damn disgusting. I don't have RGB so I don't need any of the Corsairs software to clutter up my pc. I don't want any software that I don't have any use for installed. Portable apps is what I always prefer. Turn on what you want then off and out of sight. Whats the best options for fan control? -

Can you post the laptop model you have? A laptop cooler doesn't always work.Depends on the laptop bottom cover and what cooler you use. What thermal paste do you use? Is it re-pasted? And do you use TS for undervolt? Somewhat wrong bruh. You don't need thicker Jokemodels to score well above 12K in CBR23. The awful products as the thin Razerbook 15 even come above 12K. https://hwbot.org/submission/4929020_papusan_3dmark05_geforce_gtx_750_ti_70637_marks -

Work a bit harder brother ryan. Here's a goal for you ๐ You can't be below the Red line. There is usually more in the tank. Always. Think of it as an empty toothpaste tube. Thanks brother. There are many good chips out there. But not so sure it will last for 12900K... Intel already bin as hard they can for the KS variant. Yep, as I have expected a long time. Win 11 will be the new Win 8. And this time... <They> won't change as they did from Win 8 to Win 8.1 when they killed their Windows phones. A possible return of some Tablet Mode features that were removed in the migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Run and buy a Surfacebook (2 in 1) and enjoy Microsoft's new Tablet/Phone OS. Or just jump on a Chrome OS. If you have the money... Maybe an Applebook or tablet and enjoy the real deal. Yep, its a Joke, but here we are. Microsoft kill their own and only desktop OS. There is no reasons for Microsoft make a desktop OS anymore. Hybrid Junk is good enough.

What have you upgraded on your current laptop(s)?
Papusan replied to Sandy Bridge's topic in Components & Upgrades
Upgraded from 6700K-7700K- 8700K and the last upgrade was 9900K for my Clevo P870. I just build a new desktop because there isn't any new options in laptops that is upgradeable anymore. The P870 series was the last of it's kind with real upgradeability (not even the last good LGA/MXM laptop from Clevo as the X170 is able to do this). You can upgrade the Cpu, Memory, Gpu, Storage and Wifi modules on this laptop. With todays modern and thin you ar lucky if you are able upgrade the memory and storage. The thin and light trend goes faster and fast towards Apple design... Aka Apple similar (Gaming) laptops with Windows as OS. And none can do much about it. Maybe if people stop buy it we may see a change. This isn't if or not. its the future for laptops. Only bancrupt or massive decrease in sales for the OEM manufacturers can push the needed change. But its up to you all. If you all accept whatever being thrown out from the different OEMs and pay for it, then be you sure it will be even worse down the road. What we have seen is only the beginning. Happy upgradeability. -

I expect it's an enthusiast that had the card. It was infact two GTX 480 used in SLI so probably not the Average Joe. Also enthusiasts can also be sloppy regarding own HW/things. Many just throw it in the drawer once new cards is out. Money is not a problem for many. Buy new and then move on. They don't even bother try sell a 1 or two years old card on the used market. We often see used cards pop up on the used market that have lived a long life in the drawer before they try sell it for almost nothing. The use and throw reflect many of the people living in todays community. -

I just downloaded the CORSAIR iCUE software. I'm in shock. A huge 811MB package for only changing fan speed and the colors is darn disgusting.
