I told you that the problem is in EC
-
Here is this corrected EC from the XMG website. After the firmware, do not forget to reset the BIOS to default settings Firmware_SCHENKER_DTR17E21_STD17E21_XMG_ULTRA17E21_XUL17E21_EC_1.07.04TR1.zip

Guys, I'm tired of repeating. If you have a laptop that doesn't turn on after a sharp shutdown and you need to pull out and insert the battery to turn it on, this is a problem with EC! It was fixed by xmg in the EC TR1 version

I analyzed the motherboard circuit and found no oddities in the implementation of the RAM power supply. insyde bios is crap. Any ideas to try to build an Aptio bios for x170
-
While I am working on the EC firmware, my team continues to refine the bios and tries to optimize the operation of RAM. On the x170, there are clearly some problems with RAM operation and ram overclocking

I continue to understand the problem and analyze the EC firmware (assembler). I think that sudden shutdowns occur due to false triggering of the over-voltage sensor with a constant change in the fan speed. I'm dealing with the firmware and I can't say when it will be ready. A lot of tests and checks are needed. Let me remind you that I work without having sources. And you have to disassemble the firmware and analyze almost machine code.

Sudden outages are not related to OC. They occur due to incorrect values in the EC firmware.

The problem with unexpected system shutdowns has already been solved. In the future, we will optimize the logic of working with Control Center, as well as fix problems with optimizing toxedo control in linux.

In the new version of the bios from Russian developers, the ability to reset the bios by removing the Cmos battery has been added. Added new microcodes and added the ability to allocate memory for iGPU. We have also started work on the modification of the EC. First of all, we will fix the fan table and correct the logic of the laptop's behavior when working from a single power supply.the new version of the bios from Russian developers, the ability to reset the bios by removing the Cmos battery has been added. Work on the EC firmware will begin soon

Hello everyone. A team of independent developers from Russia has started developing a bios for the clevo x170km. This is a new life for a laptop. Microcodes for PCH have been updated, the reaction speed of the laptop has been increased, and in the future new functions will be added and mistakes made by vendors will be corrected.

Hello everyone. After installing Control Center 3.75 on windows, the abrupt shutdowns of the laptop stopped. But on linux with tuxedo control center, the laptop also turns off. You need to take out the battery to turn it on. This problem is somehow related to the fans. When the fan control module is not installed in the system, the laptop works well. But when the fan control module is installed, the laptop is unstable. Has anyone figured out why this is happening and how to solve this problem? Sorry for the bad English
