  1. All keyboards are clean, and have been kept that way since I owned them.
They were also wiped down with isopropyl before being listed.

Shipping depends on where they are going, and can be combined, and we have an account so it should be reasonable.

Pictured but not listed means sold

  2. Up for sale is an old standby of mine. Lenovo Legion 7 Ryzen 9 5900HX, RTX 3080

Bought it new several years ago when the NBR forum was still running. Used for work from a desk mostly when I still did that.

Not getting much use now so time to sell it off.

    $1200

It is in excellent condition and very clean; I take very good care of my things. It even has the original box.

A couple minor bumps or dings and the Nvidia sticker is starting to come up so I used a little clear tape to hold it down. I imagine you could purchase a replacement if it matters.

  3. Really interested in the direction this laptop is going and if other manufacturers will follow suit.

The concept is nice by itself and I don't mind the added depth and heft for what you are getting.

What I would like to see is a Flow X13 refresh (especially since it is noticeably absent from the lineup) or something similar with a '60 class GPU equivalent or option for external GPU. If it turns out to be popular I could see a model as soon as next year with next gen graphics.

Might completely replace a larger laptop for me.

  5. I stopped all but the most basic and bang for the buck performance tweaks a long time ago. So respect for those who keep pushing things to the limit.

It seemed that as time got more scarce, I enjoyed it less and the change in real world performance was minimal.

More time spent resulted in diminishing returns. Maybe I could tweak another 5% or so, but is that really enough of a difference to make a difference?

actually this leads me to a question @SapphiraTriX298why are you selling them for a quarter of their used value?

Because I had a brain spasm, and put down Sabrent when I meant Silicon Power...

The post has been corrected. Still cheaper than Canada.

I miss St Catharines and Niagara on the Lake. Got to visit friends in Toronto this year though.

  7. True, but unless you have a sales tax rate under 2% mine is still cheaper, and it is already tested to be a good performer.

I will add this is the 2nd unit I received as the first unit had some notable performance issues, so if anyone buys one direct from HP or one of the resellers I would test to make sure that you are getting all the performance you are paying for.

Regardless, it looks like I got a bit of the silicon lottery this go round.

  8. Wow that is a $450 sale/discount on the 13700hx model. The highest discount I saw before was $200

I wonder if they are not selling as well as they hoped. By the numbers, these are some of the best bang for the buck performers so that surprises me, but their advertising game isn't the best. When I talked with their sales team for background info on the laptop, they were clueless of the price/performance ratio of their model vs their competitors.

Regardless, I will drop the price to $2800 shipped.

The 13900x was either a $250-$300 upgrade (pricey little E cores), so that should reduce the post-tax delta down to $200 or less than the typical upgrade cost, at least for as long as the sale is going on. That also nets the 5600 spec ram, 13700hx gets 4800.

  9. ANYTHING NOT LISTED HAS BEEN SOLD

My life circumstances have changed dramatically over the last 6 weeks, which is forcing me to sell off a lot of things I can no longer utilize

Here are a few extra computer/tech related items

    $150 Each - 2 4tb Silicon Power

$30 - KB Talking pro Bluetooth keyboard

$200 - 16TB HGST Ultrastar Data Center drive (less than 100 hrs)

    Payment can be:

Paypal (plus the 3% fee if you don't want to do FF)

    Zelle

    USPS money orders

  10. I was originally planning on doing a full review on this unit like I did on the Asus Scar 18 and the Eluktroniks/Cyber Power Tracer VII.

My life circumstances have changed dramatically over the last 6 weeks, which is forcing me to sell off a lot of things I can no longer utilize

$2200 shipped. (original config was $3200 + Tax)

This unit was purchased with my own money. It is priced hundreds under retail, which combined with the lack of tax should save the end buyer around $1000 off new purchase.

The unit is in excellent condition, no visible wear, and is less than 2 months old.

This is the highest end configuration from HP in terms of performance

    13900HX

    175W 4090

    RAM is 16gb of DDR5 5600

OS SSD is 512gb, plus a 1TB storage drive. Though if you have interest in a 4tb model, this can be added on at cost/no tax.

(I also have a 32gb RAM DDR5 CL40 5600 kit which could also be added on)

Screen is the Top End, 1440p 240hz model, with more than enough brightness for indoor use.

    There are 2 M.2 slots

Thermal paste is traditional paste on the CPU and likely Phase Change (Honeywell variant) on the GPU as the paste comes from Nvidia with the cards. I confirmed this with the Omen Techs as part of my review prep, who had to do some digging to look it up.

I had done some limited testing on this unit, which demonstrated a very good CPU in terms of undervolting. I was able to reach -180mv without stability issues, which is pretty good.

There were also no drops in performance at that level which can sometimes happen with significant undervolting.

I did not pursue any further undervolt, as there was no difference in thermals beyond that point in my limited testing. Sometimes the enemy of good is perfection

GPU performs in line with other reviewers (see Gizmo Slip tech)

Port selection is excellent compared to other models of this era from competitors, with numerous USB-A and C ports, card reader.

    Payment can be:

Paypal (plus the 3% fee if you don't want to do FF)

    Zelle

    USPS money orders

Don't have cash app or venmo.

I also have a 2tb 980 Pro M.2, 4tb Silicon Power and MP34 M.2's, Nintendo Switch Original, 5tb 2.5" Barracuda, KB Talking pro Bluetooth keyboard. Another listing will have a picture of everything and prices.

  11. Unfortunately I don't have it. Newegg messed up my initial shipping (to a wrong address), so my return window was shortened by about 2 weeks (started the time the package arrived at the original destination). When I called in I was able to get it extended to what should have been, but they processed the Return the same day, which effectively shortened it again.

If I didn't lose my original draft I would have had more time, but to be honest I completely forgot that people might want the Vbios.

There is another member who has the TongFang/Eluktronics/Cyberpower Vbios, you might try to get that one, as that is the outlier among the manufacturers in terms of performance.

I am hoping to get the HP Omen 17 as a cheaper replacement, but not sure if you would want that vbios
