I don't think it's connected in any way. Previously, BIOSes came out on a Clevo laptops without RAM overclocking functions, and it was OK. Sergey and I are looking for ways to reduce RAM timings or at least slightly raise the frequency above 3200 MHz, but I have an assumption that 3200 MHz could be the limit for SODIMM. If it turns out to overclock, then at best up to 3400 MHz.
The weird thing is that the PCI lines from the processor and the structure of the SODIMM slot completely repeat desktop PCs. It is unclear why a laptop based on the Z590 chipset cannot overclock memory and what problems are associated with it.
