Clevo P150SM - Need help for upgrade

Hello All,

 

I need your help. I am trying to replace my GTX 780m by a GTX1070 on my old Clevo P150SM. 

My problem is that currently my computer doesn't recognize the card. I am trying to update my Bios but was not successful yet

 

Any tips / advices ?

what video card u have ? (post picture) also does the card pop up in device manager as generic , or u just have black screen ?

It might be related to having a LVDS display port versus eDP port. I think the GTX 1070 only works with eDP displays.

What card did you get? While not conclusive every instance of the 1070 in the P157SM-A, which I think shares similar platform to the P150SM, was the MSI variant.

Can you take a picture from the card? 

I did a p1770sm 1060 upgrade with lvds screen its plug and play, but you have to edit the nvidia driver  in order to install it otherwise its gonna say that no compatible device was found. 

In the device manager van you see a second video card next to the intel hd  ?
