Dell has made the 2022 G15 system available for order.  The models are G15 5520, or G15 5521 "Special Edition".

  • Intel 12th-gen "Alder Lake" CPUs (i5-12500H 4P+8E, i7-12700H 6P+8E)
  • NVIDIA Ampere GPUs: GeForce RTX 3050, 3050 Ti, 3060, 3070 Ti
  • Three display choices: FHD 120, FHD 165, QHD 240
  • Appears to cap out at 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD

There does not appear to be a 17" version.  The 17" space for gaming laptops from Dell is just Alienware for now.

  • 1 year later...

Ive managed to get a G15 5515 ryzen edition Silver.

The laptop is over 1 years old, and its already throttling on CPU side, the factory 120hz FHD screen has terrible colors (45% srgb) .

Positive about the laptop: Fanless idle operation, AWCC working without any AW product, high performance mode as the AW laptops, good quality (dont know if the previus owner was carefull, but no scratches, no erosion on plastic). My plan is to get a QHD 165Hz 100DCI-P3 screen for it NV156FHM-N4U , its a very usable laptop , the factory 2230 M2 nvme can be replaced with 2280 by mooving the securing metal,so it has 1.5TB SSD .
