Aaron44126 Posted January 29 Share Posted January 29 I have no desire to pick one of these up for myself, but my nephew asked if I could try to snag one for him because he is eager to upgrade from his GeForce 2070 to 5080, but is going to be busy at work when these things launch, presumably at 9 AM on January 30. Anyone purchased a launch-day GPU before? Any experiences or tips from dealing with specific sites? I'm not going to camp at a store, so I'd just have to be refreshing a web site and trying to get one into my cart and then through the checkout as quickly as possible... and I fully understand that they may well all be bought up by eager beavers, scalpers, or bots within the first few minutes or even seconds of going on sale.
