Clevo4Life91
Hello community, does anyone have any info about this MXM gpu? Edp output? I was thinking about ordering it for a Clevo p870dm or x170sm-g. Found it randomly on a Chinese website. Any info/details would be appreciated. Best regards Andy
Maro97
hello ... you can't use this gpu with p870xx or x170xx motherboards .... the only thing you can do is desoldering the clevo rtx 3080 chipset to rtx 3080ti chipset on clevo rtx 3080 mxm board if you want to use rtx 3080ti chipset with mxm clevo ( p7xxx - p870xx - X170xx ) laptops. Very useful info and good to know. Can I ask why the 3080ti (mxm variant) isn't supported by clevo DTR-series? No Lvds/eDP output?
Maro97
Cuz clevo killed an mxm gpu slots after x170km module with intel 11th gen
TheWizzard1
IIRC the Clevo boards which have their proprietary form factor MXM (the biggies) don't support normal MXM cards well, both the heatsink and the lesser-used pins in MXM being used for high-current 3.3v and some display output configuration makes them difficult.
