Hello I'm curios on if it's possible to install a Nvidia GTX 980 or even a 880M into a P870DM3G I currently have a triple boot setup on my laptop where it runs Windows 11, 7 & XP all fully working only road block is I can't get my GTX 1070 to work in Windows XP is their a way to install a standard MXM GPU into this laptop or do only specific model MXM GPU's work in this I was also looking into getting a

Radeon RX 66600XT for MacOS from X-VISON if they're confirmed to work I just don't winna drop hundreds of dollars on a 2nd GPU only to find out that the system won't post I've already confirmed that the RTX 20xx/30xx series fully works if the dsanke bios are installed

My current specs are

i7 9700F

16GB DDR4 SODIMM

GTX 1070 MXM

1TB NVME

2x 1TB WD HDD's

Dsanke bios are installed on this system currenty

If anyone has any info on this MXM GPU compatibility and if it requires a mod to make other MXM cards work pls let me knowScreenshot2025-08-11153155.thumb.png.e698f7e54d32d0dafa62a80b3fb2adb4.png

As far i experimented with my 775dm3 time ago with a custom modded heatsink mxm 3.1b 1060m,1070m 980m,970m,965m worked perfectly, 880m and 870m needed inf mod you cannot go lower because lower cards have no edp support also amd cards can only work when you disable a  certain temp sensor or something...it you put a adt mxm to pcie 16x adapter then all desktop cards(nvidia, amd) are working without any problems no inf, mods stuff needed just plug in play..even i tried a nvidia gt210 and celeron g3900t 🤣

How can I disable the temp sensor on a Radeon MXM gpu also in theory I could buy a MXM GTX 980 and it'll work without performing some kind of wire mod to the MXM slot correct I'm mainly putting a 2nd GPU in this laptop so I'll have graphics acceleration in Windows XP I'm fully aware of the 980 INF mod for Windows XP I attempted to hopefully get my GTX 1070 work in Windows XP sadly it doesn't want to install the drivers I've tried several versions of the iCafe Pascal drivers only thing I havn't attempted yet is flashing a different vBios on to the GPU but I ain't taking that risk yet cause I have found a different bios that'll add more performace to the GPU
