SuperMG
Hello. I used CoffeeTime tool to make the use of the Xeon E-2286M on this laptop. I don't know why, but when I flashed the BIOS using meset, the laptop boots, the modded CPU works and the GPU work too but it reported as a P870TM BIOS with version 1.07.X I was like how is that possible? I saved the P775TM1 file and the name of the file was 1440BGA-P775TM1.bin. Maybe... because I had two instances of CoffeeTime 0.99 opened... (One had P870KM bios so I could copy off the microcodes and stuffs) And one had the p775tm bios I was editing... So I retry again with only one app open. Then I try to flash and... The pc doesn't work anymore. Nothing on the screen. Laptop does boot looping every 60 seconds. Keyboard lights up, fan 1 and 2 are spinning but nothing on the screen. With and without RAM, same issue. I tried to use my P775TM backup file I did back then, used a CH341A and flashed it to the U16 BIOS chip (next to the Chipset and RAM modules) and still, it does the same thing... EC isn't bricked, version is 1.05.03TR1 Please help. Edited Sunday at 05:09 PM by SuperMG
SuperMG
Okay. Sorry if I made another extra post in this forum. If your PC does the same thing as me after flashing with a modded BIOS. It's probably your PC isn't screwed yet. First reflash back the original backup using CH341A, flash the MX2564L73F (U16) chip. If you still get the same behaviour as before... For me, I had to test one by one the RAM. And the issue was coming from the RAM configuration... If that's not the case for you, try to FN +D + power then, to reset the cmos. It was working fine while flashing and then the new bios and old bios probably didn't like the actual ram configuration. Now that stick of RAM is working in another RAM slot... Weird Edit: the RAM trick doesn't work with the bios + modified microcodes... I used the latest XMG bios I upgraded too. I upgraded the EC and BIOS everything worked fine. Then I use the same newest bios + adding the new microcodes and nothing on the screen... We can't use the mutant CPUs on the P775TM1? It's a Z370 chipset board Edited Saturday at 12:54 PM by SuperMG
SuperMG
Okay got news. I flashed successfully the modded BIOS with the latest EA microcodes. Laptop boots now! All I had to do was to install 2 more patches, remove SPD protection and also install the "Fix Clevo black screen boot when ME is disabled". Using CoffeTime 0.99 software. I have one other issue... The laptop boots fine with the original CPU, the GPU displays and stuffs. But when I add the modded CPU, nothing on screen, laptop boots to Windows and stuff but nothing on screen. Nothing on the BIOS too. Just no display. I put back the original CPU and I get display... Why the P870 bios allowed me to use both modded CPU and GPU at the same time? What did I miss again? I can no longer use the GPU because of the modded CPU with my modded XMG BIOS...
