Motherboard Replacement Steps

Hi everyone,

I finally purchased my new motherboard for my Alienware 18, and want to replace it...

Do I have to do anything software-related, or bios changes before or after the swap?

I also bought a new CMOS battery, all it takes is to replace it physically or I must do something on the bios also?

hi,

you can swap the motherboard, then do the bios upgrade if you want unlocked BIOS.

CMOS battery installation is straightforward.
