Does NV75W OEM heatsink work well with an GTX980M

Hi, since I have an older Alienware 18 I wanted to sell, I just wanted to make sure that the heatsink works properly, as you can see the heatsink does't cover the entire chip I highlighted in the picture, it that okay? The chip should be still cooled off properly right? (I will put thermal pads on all the chips of the GPU)

Old configuration were two 860m, and the surface of their chips of those were covered fully by the NV75W, but it still should work with a 980m right?

I believe those 75watt heatsinks have 2 heatpipes and 100watt equivalents have 3 heatpipes.

 

So maybe they will fit the GPU, but cooling will be a problem
