Scourge Posted March 28 Posted March 28 UPDATE: I figured it out! (Now running Linux CatchyOS on my Sky X9E (P870DM-G) HI! Here are my settings for cooler temps while boosted at 4.0ghz on all cores: (i7-6700K) (No overlocking, just a stable undervolt at stock speeds for cooler temps) With all other settings on stock, I just changed these settings (Underlined for changes) ADVANCED SETTINGS TAB: Overclocking Feature: Enabled IMON Scaling: Disabled Vboost Enable: Disabled RSR: Enabled >Processor Core Max OC Ratio: 40 Core Voltage Mode: Adaptive Core Voltage Override: 0 Core Extra Turbo Voltage: 0 Core Voltage Offset: 175 (Negative) Core PLL Voltage Offset: 0 >Ring Ring Max OC Ratio: 40 Ring Min OC Ratio: 8 Rin Voltage Mode: Adaptive Ring Extra Turbo Voltage: 0 Ring Voltage Offset: 175 (Negative) >Uncore NO CHANGES - LEAVE AT DEFAULT In the ADVANCED > CPU CONFIGURATION setting: Leave everything at stock except: INTEL SPEED SHIFT TECHNOLOGY - ENABLED (Skylake CPUs make better use of this then SpeedStep) INTEL SPEEDSTEP - DISABLED Platform Power Limit 1: 95000 Platform Power Limit 2: 95000 Leave all C State settings at default Power Limit 4 Settings: 95000 (inside the menu) That's it. Leave everything else alone. Save and reboot! My benchmark temps top out at 80C after a few minutes using OCCT on Linux CatchyOS, and that's with the stock fan controls. BONUS TIP: If you're a CatchyOS Linux user like me with a Clevo P870 laptop, you can get Keyboard LED control (using the keyboard Fn+ buttons) here: https://novacustom.com/clevo-keyboard-backlight-control-for-linux/ Tl;dr: open your Linux Terminal (CTRL+ALT+T on most Linux distros), and then PASTE and ENTER this terminal command to install the package: wget https://github.com/wessel-novacustom/clevo-keyboard/raw/master/kb.sh && chmod +x kb.sh && sudo ./kb.sh That's it! After it's done, reboot your Laptop and then you can use the Fn+ keys with the 4 NUM PAD buttons to change a few colors and the brightness levels on the keyboard!
