HELP NEEDED – ASUS ROG Gaming Laptop Not Turning On After Fan Replacement

My ASUS ROG gaming laptop suddenly stopped powering on after I replaced the CPU fan today.

 

The old fan was making noise, so I removed it temporarily and the laptop was still working fine. Today I installed the new fan, connected everything back, and after assembling the laptop, it now shows no power at all.

 

I’ve already tried:

 

1. Checking charger
2. Reconnecting battery
3. Holding power button
4. Reopening the laptop

 

If anyone has experienced this before or knows what could cause it, please help. Any quick troubleshooting steps would be appreciated.

Maybe this "new" fan is shorting out the 5V power rail. Try without the fan...

That actually makes sense. I’ll try disconnecting the new fan completely and test if the laptop powers on without it.

 

The old fan was removed before and the laptop still worked, so maybe this replacement fan is faulty or causing a short like you mentioned. Thanks
