  1. Hello guys, i installed QTJ1 in my P870 and it looks good, it works as expected BUT maybe, before i waste few hours trying different bios settings, someone could share proper dsanke bios setup for CPU? There are tons of options and i see in Windows that cpu is not using speedstep or speedshift + i need to maunally force it in throttlestop to go above 4ghz. It think best setting would be to set it up to default in bios and make proper profiles under Windows in throttlestop to control cpu on AC and battery + daily and performance profiles there?
  2. Thanks! Maybe You could post some more benchmarks with Your stable setup? Maybe from cpuz, throttlestop etc. so we would have more results for comparison?
  3. No issues in fitting this cpu with IHS into socket? Just plug and play? And could You please share info on what bios You are? I'm planning on getting one of these too.
  4. Which bios exactly are You using to run QTJ1? Is it 0716-9900KS-128G from Dsanke? And which version of cpu did You buy? Delidded one or one with heatspreader?
  5. Found it: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ZRLYpWUCwY9bsUpyEIVMrKQz7ID2JzEi However i see there are mods of original bios and mods of z370 ported to z170 and z270.
  6. Is there any place that has all of these versions with description? Or we just need to look for them online?
  7. So one can say that Prema is more user friendly and sophisticated version. It was used by 3rd party companies in their systems so it needed to be good. But i think that development stopped at some point right? I think my bios from Prema is from 2016 so i don't think it would allow usage of 8th or 9th gen cpu or rtx gpu. So we are left with dsanke bioses. I saw some versions on github, newest was 716 if im not mistaken. Does anyone know if its the latest version?
  8. After reading many topics in different places i have 1 question in my mind. Is there any real difference between these 2 modded bioses? Is there something better or worse in any of it? Is there some best, golden bios version for P870 or it depends on kind of mods we wanna do?
  9. Have a look on your screenshot from gpu-z, gpu clock/gpu temp/hot spot/gpu load/power draw. If it averages at 75 it doesn't mean it's running with this temp. If you reach max 87 it means during heavy load it's working with that temp. It's too much, but hey, it's your card.
  10. No idea why but i tried several newer driver versions and i never had this global card option available. Version 425 works flawlessly. @Maxware79 You trick with changing to igfx and back to SG works, thanks for the tip. I tried disabling p states or forcing p states to solve throttling issue but nothing worked so i think this trick is only way to have a card working properly...
  11. Yeah i think it's standard that nvme ssd is not visible in bios, but it works fine. What i also experienced and maybe it will be helpfull for someone in the future - MXM adapter didn't have a proper contact in mxm slot after tightening screws to max, i needed to use small washers between adapter pcb and screw holes. No idea why, never had this issue with GPUs, maybe adapter pcb is a bit thinner.
  12. Temp is already very high, do You have any mods planned to improve cooling? I changed vbios in my 1070m from 115 to 125 and temps rised a few degrees, i needed to downclock and undervolt to keep it in line, otherwise temps went above 90 and card throttled so no point to do that without some very efficient cooling mod.
  13. It looks like geforce driver issue. I tried several versions and nothing worked, windows didn't switch to 1070 at all, always using intel no matter if i run game or benchmark. Untill i tried some old geforce version 3xx and it worked. I noticed this old version has global setting in control panel, which card is preferred to be used, newer geforce versions didn't have that. Throttling is another issue, i had it with every card i installed in m18x....
  14. Hello, i got another probably silly issue but i can't figure it out. M18x R2 with unlocked bios, graphics set to SG, UEFI boot, Windows 10 installed. I can see 2 cards under device manager: intel HD and 1070, both working and without errors. However i cannot force windows to use 1070, it always uses intel graphics. When i go under windows graphics settings and there is option which application should use which card when power saving or high performance - there i can only choose intel, 1070 is not available at all. Where can i look for more options to force 1070 usage?
  15. ok i swapped nvme to second one with working Windows 10 and laptop booted normally. Drive is still not visible in bios but i assume that's correct. So basically You need to prepare drive on second laptop and then install it...
