Found it: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ZRLYpWUCwY9bsUpyEIVMrKQz7ID2JzEi However i see there are mods of original bios and mods of z370 ported to z170 and z270.

Is there any place that has all of these versions with description? Or we just need to look for them online?

So one can say that Prema is more user friendly and sophisticated version. It was used by 3rd party companies in their systems so it needed to be good. But i think that development stopped at some point right? I think my bios from Prema is from 2016 so i don't think it would allow usage of 8th or 9th gen cpu or rtx gpu. So we are left with dsanke bioses. I saw some versions on github, newest was 716 if im not mistaken. Does anyone know if its the latest version?

After reading many topics in different places i have 1 question in my mind. Is there any real difference between these 2 modded bioses? Is there something better or worse in any of it? Is there some best, golden bios version for P870 or it depends on kind of mods we wanna do?

Have a look on your screenshot from gpu-z, gpu clock/gpu temp/hot spot/gpu load/power draw. If it averages at 75 it doesn't mean it's running with this temp. If you reach max 87 it means during heavy load it's working with that temp. It's too much, but hey, it's your card.

No idea why but i tried several newer driver versions and i never had this global card option available. Version 425 works flawlessly. @Maxware79 You trick with changing to igfx and back to SG works, thanks for the tip. I tried disabling p states or forcing p states to solve throttling issue but nothing worked so i think this trick is only way to have a card working properly...

Yeah i think it's standard that nvme ssd is not visible in bios, but it works fine. What i also experienced and maybe it will be helpfull for someone in the future - MXM adapter didn't have a proper contact in mxm slot after tightening screws to max, i needed to use small washers between adapter pcb and screw holes. No idea why, never had this issue with GPUs, maybe adapter pcb is a bit thinner.

Temp is already very high, do You have any mods planned to improve cooling? I changed vbios in my 1070m from 115 to 125 and temps rised a few degrees, i needed to downclock and undervolt to keep it in line, otherwise temps went above 90 and card throttled so no point to do that without some very efficient cooling mod.

It looks like geforce driver issue. I tried several versions and nothing worked, windows didn't switch to 1070 at all, always using intel no matter if i run game or benchmark. Untill i tried some old geforce version 3xx and it worked. I noticed this old version has global setting in control panel, which card is preferred to be used, newer geforce versions didn't have that. Throttling is another issue, i had it with every card i installed in m18x....

Hello, i got another probably silly issue but i can't figure it out. M18x R2 with unlocked bios, graphics set to SG, UEFI boot, Windows 10 installed. I can see 2 cards under device manager: intel HD and 1070, both working and without errors. However i cannot force windows to use 1070, it always uses intel graphics. When i go under windows graphics settings and there is option which application should use which card when power saving or high performance - there i can only choose intel, 1070 is not available at all. Where can i look for more options to force 1070 usage?

ok i swapped nvme to second one with working Windows 10 and laptop booted normally. Drive is still not visible in bios but i assume that's correct. So basically You need to prepare drive on second laptop and then install it...

Hello, i have a problem to make nvme drive visible anywhere. I bought cheap Ali adapter mxm nvme shown above. It doesn't matter if i install it in 1st or 2nd mxm slot, ssd is not visible in Windows/windows installer manager/bios. I tried various settings, uefi or legacy bios, SG or igfx, tried removing half of my ram, disconnecting msata drive, disconnecting bd drive. Nothing works, i could not get this drive to be recognized even a single time. When i took this nvme and installed it back to my second laptop, it's not recognized in Windows, i needed to use windows install manager to format it, it was shown as ubuntu drive....?

hmm is there any setting in unlocked bios that can affect IMC? I tried increasing sysyem bus and it looks that memory can be put above 1600mhz and system is running stable but of course it's not perfect solution to overclock whole system.

I just tried to upgrade ram in my m18x r2 to 4x8GB 1866mhz but it seems that laptop only post after setting them to 1600mhz. When i try to increase ram speed to 1866 it won't post. When i install only 2 modules it boots normally with speed 1866. What am i missing?

Hello guys, maybe someone will be able to help me or point me in any direction. Basically, is there any unlocked bios for this rig, or is there any way to upgrade official bios to newer dell version that supports 2nd gen threadrippers? R6 was sold with 1gen TR cpus and oficially supports only them..... but mobo is theoretically fully compatible with 2nd gen TRs. There is also newer version of Area 51 called R7 that supports 2nd gen TRs but i have no idea if it is maybe somehow possible to flash bios from R7? I wouldn't bother to do that, BUT i got almost for free, brand new mobo from this pc.

Quadro P3000 & P4000 unlocked/OC vbios
mtvgt replied to TheQuentincc's topic in Components & Upgrades
Thanks Maks, so i assume programmer only for whole family right? P4000, P4200, P5000, P5200. And it was confirmed that even NVflashk or OMGVflash won't work? -
Thanks Ssj, i looked over various different forums and there are proofs from different people that it's basically as You said. About 200mhz difference between 2 and 3 gen. Now i only wonder, how big will be temperature difference between 2gen and 3gen. 32mm vs 22mm but i read somewhere that 2gen had lower temp during various stress tests.

Hello, does anyone have a real life benchmark results, real life comparison between these 2 cpu models? I treat 2920/2960 and 3920/3940 as one and the same because they are almost the same cpu. I wonder what improvement can be seen switching from 2gen to 3gen cpu in terms of temp and performance when overclocked. I wonder if 3gen will run cooler than 2gen? I watched tests/comparisons of these 2 generations in regular pc and results were surpising - 3gen was hotter than 2gen, how is that possible?

Quadro P3000 & P4000 unlocked/OC vbios
mtvgt replied to TheQuentincc's topic in Components & Upgrades
Hello, what's the current status? Did anyone succeded in getting unlocked vbios for quadro P3000? Is it posssible to flash vbios on these cards using NVFlash? -
If it comes to pcie speed i can tell you from my own experience, try cleaning mxm port on motherboard. I was surprised how dirty it was inside after all these years + it fixed my problem with lower than expected pcie speed (or maybe re-installing card helped..?) I used cotton ear buds + alcohol based cleaner.

Hello, i did some research and according to various reviews and parts available on parts people, there are 4 possible screen configuration: - FHD 60hz - FHD 144hz - UHD 60hz - OLED Do you know if these screens are compatible with each other? Let's say, is it possible to upgrade FHD to UHD or OLED screen? I saw that there are different lcd ribbons with different dell codes and of course different connectors on LCD side, but it looks like all of them use the same edp 30pin connector to motherboard. Anyone could pour some more light into this topic?

Alienware 17 r4 with motherboard from r5?
mtvgt replied to mtvgt's topic in Alienware 13 / 15 / 17 / 51m (2015-2020)
Hello, thanks for reply. At the end i decided not to try this. Motherboards are still quite expensive and i didn't want to risk so i went other way with different model. -
I know there are better cards. However if you could get it for 15$ it can be a great deal and quite an improvement from 6970. Is there an unlocked bios available anywhere? If there would be at least an option to adjust core/mem speeds then we would get just a bit crippled 1060 version.
