  1. Received, seems in order, haven't plugged it in yet. The ad is still up for same price, so I guess it's not a fluke.
  2. Only Info I can find is HPE ProLiant WS460c Gen9 Graphics Server Blade: https://support.hpe.com/connect/s/product?language=en_US&kmpmoid=7829634&tab=All&cep=on&manualsFilter=66000005%2C66000045 Digging around it says the MXM slots only have an x8 link, the PCI-E slot is a x16 though. under " HPE MultiGPU carrier card (single, carrier only)" : https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=c04627081&docLocale=en_US#N1078A It looks like a popular configuration was dual Tesla compute MXM, which makes sense because the x16 switch would not bottleneck going into dual x8. The 4th MXM slot is Type A (the short style) only, but the other 3 are for Type B cards.
  3. I think it might be an error, there is an HP server MXM adapter card for $25. (Usually 250) Best jump on it if it's something you might need: https://www.ebay.com/itm/176949987213 The card will hold 4x MXM cards, appears to have a PCI switch onboard, so potentially good performance. I will be trying what MXM cards I have in it. M600, Tesla P4, P4000, M3000 etc. Seems like a good deal. You can even get 3080m for decent-ish prices I use NvCleanInstall to add the hardware ID to the drivers if necessary. I am assuming the power connector is a CPU style pinout, 4x 12v and 4x Ground. I ordered one. I plan to use a short PCI-e Riser because the card is low to the board behind the slot connector and will probably hit motherboard components depending on the board. No Video outputs, but could potentially be used for gaming with integrated outputs or a different GPU for output. Seems to have a heatsink of sorts built into it too.
  4. This guide is pretty comprehensive. Except sometimes with motherboards on step 4 you need to go into your 'Warehouse' and choose a "value added service", and pay them a little to remove the battery, otherwise it won't ship on an airplane. (Also any accessories that are unnecessary, heavy or bulky can be removed to save shipping cost/weight.) https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/7nvc5x/guide_how_to_use_superbuy_to_order_from_taobao/ This is a P775TM motherboard: https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?abbucket=2&id=726455604028 This one needs a translator XD: https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?abbucket=2&id=749948698130 To California shipping is probably $20-40 (it varies). Not sure Latvia.
  5. Thanks for your guide. I'll be trying your platform ID hack in future because I like the Drivers to install properly 😅. I think I need to go back and add some 1.3mm pads to my inductors. Do you have the pictures available for download again? (If files.fm just needs to reset the bandwidth I can wait for that). Project: I got a great deal on a P750TM1 (I think it's really the same as P751) and I went for the 3080 over the 2080 because the price is only $50 difference. I used TaoBao and SuperBuy to locate the Heatsink. I think it was around $105 after shipping. I have 2x styles of QTJ1, the bare die and the heatspreader one. I am thinking I can make it work if I de-lid the one and put it under the contact frame of the other. But then I need a copper slug to make up the difference in height. (It's also a huge pain to get the contact frame held down on the one side, I'm using some threaded rod and 2 sets of bolts, I will need to clearance the underside of the heatsink for the bolts, and make sure the top bolt doesn't hit the heatpipe by using washers.) I have put that on the back burner until I get the GPU running properly. For now since I sold the 8700k I am using a 9700F. Kind of a lateral move, but it's OK.
