  1. Hi! I just noticed a rather annoying problem. I think my clevo hibernates itself after 2 or 3 hours and it is annoying. How can I fix that? For example I am upscaling video that encodes for 10 hours and I leave it be (as it is using a lot of resources and sounds like a jet engine) and i will check after 2-3 hours and my PC is just off. I turn it on and it returns as if it was waken from sleep but it was not in fact in sleep. I just checked and Windows is set to never sleep. Are there settings for hibernation somewhere? The worst part is when I turn it on it just keeps on encoding at whatever % it was at and as if nothing happened 😕 So it doesn't crash just my guess is it hibernates but whyyyy ;( Thanks!
  2. Not really. I am pretty sure microcode updates are only for security reasons. And even those are probably really niche. But I like to be on the latest stuff either way so that's why I update it for myself. But there might be something I haven't noticed I am not 100% sure but I doubt it.
  3. Maybe somebody can fix the BIOS afterwards though.
  4. It is because your BCLK is in downspread mode and it is set to 50%. This is the default in almost all computers so that's why.
  5. Why do you guys are so desperate for the fan control software? I am rocking the three modes that the basic CCC gives me and I am happy lol =D I hate CCC for other things but not fan control. Like for example it gets in the way of GPU OC. And possibly even messes with CPU max frequency for some reason but fan control I don't mind at all.
  6. I would press down D and it would work and then just vanish and not register no matter how hard i pressed it. I would let the laptop sit for a bit and it would start working again, but if i started pressing it for a bit again it would slowly stop registering again. So it was more like it would work for a bit or it would start to not work and register 50/50 until not working at all etc. But in my case it was only with D. Yeah cleaning is good! Isopropyl alcohol is very good too, just sometimes have to be a bit careful as it tends to eat away some stuff like traces or glue and other things. For CPU and GPU cleaning etc its good! That's the thing, it is expensive and at one point I thought of selling this PC as I can't afford to change keyboards every 7 months...
  7. UUID is tied to a value stored in BIOS. It should stay the same no matter how many times you reinstall windows unless you change it yourself. You can check your UUID with HWInfo. I tried checking your way and just got some error.
  8. ahh yes, another victim of the absolute trash that is P775TM1 and all other compatible model keyboards. I wish I wasn't the bearer of bad news but those keyboards are very unreliable. I myself am on my third (in needing of a new FOURTH) keyboard. Exactly the same problem that you are describing. For me on all three keyboards the D button just started dropping keys like crazy. I wouldn't notice it that bad on typing, but in games like Rocket League and others it would become unusable. It is unfortunate, but these keyboards just straight up suck. I have seen them on eBay and AliExpress for like 70euros. However I will try to fix mine by ordering some liquid metal paint or whatever it is called and fixing the traces in the keyboard layers. Actually just cleaning the layers fixed my issue with the D key, but I used isopropyl alcohol and i didn't know it will eat away the traces if not careful. So yeah. But 100% the keyboard itself is just horrible.
  9. Like I said I think there is but you first have to convert your 2080 to g-sync. I think this is done by changing a strap resistor somewhere on the board and then flashing the g-sync BIOS or in your case the 200W BIOS. Check info here: 200W VBIOS for RTX 3080 does not exist unfortunately.
  10. @Kyser777 I think you can convert your 2080 in to a g-sync one by changing some kind of strap resistor on the board. I think there was a tutorial for this somewhere on the internet.
  11. Nice job! Check windows event viewer if you get any PCI-E errors.
  12. "Is there a difference in using either of these slots of the motherboard in the P775TM1-G chassis for my primary OS m2 SSD?" I don't think there is a difference. But you can test it if you want. I think I did such tests back when I tested the SSD's and found no difference in speed. Also if you are wondering why I myself have RAID0 while not recommending it is because I am just too lazy to reinstall windows haha. 😄 But I don't run it at the dangerous setting and many many many crashes later there is not a single data loss. Escape from Tarkov especially likes to crash my computer atleast twice a gaming session lmao. 😄
  13. Hi! Don't think that the KC3000 is the best for P775TM1. That was just back when I did my tests 2021-2022. Since then many new SSD's are out and I am sure the 990 Pro is going to be the best! I will want to see some benchmarks from you if it will be possible! Why I didn't recommend RAID0 was because it doesn't really speed anything up UNLESS you use that one mode where it uses CPU as a cache or something and it is dangerous because you can lose data on power loss. So unless you have a very stable system it's better to run without RAID on main SSD. For your SSHD it makes perfect sense and you will definitely see a performance increase there. And it won't be dangerous because you don't have to run it at the dangerous setting. The dangerous mode I am talking about and that improves performance on a NVME RAID0 is Write-Cache buffer flushing Disabled in combination with Write Back cache mode enabled. "...or is it better to make use of the new 2Tb 990 Pros SSD for the OS and Programs, 1Tb for users data and extra program data such flight simulator sceneries?" I think this is definately the way to go. Even though sequentials will be capped at the PCI-E 3.0 speed limit, the more important small RND4K speed will remain the same as it is for a 990 Pro and that is the real difference for daily use! And actually running NVME RAID0 hurts RND4K so that's something to keep in mind too. "During the clean install, will it be sufficient to unplug the D drive, a Raid0 stripped Seagate FireCuda 2TB Solid State Hybrid Drives into 4Tb, to keep the data safe and recovered and restored later?" Yes, absolutely! You can just unplug them or if you have an unlocked BIOS you can just disable them for the install and re-enable after the install. "On a side note, I 'd be interested to update Clevo P775TM1-G graphics card from 2080 to 3080 or even 4080. It followed your thread on that subject, it seems still quite expensive." If you have a 2080 and can handle the heat I don't recommend the 3080 if it is not available for a good deal where you live. The 3080 was a rather small improvement over the 2080 for me. The real improvement came in thermals in my opinion. You get a less hot chip with 16GB and something of a 10-20% boost to performance. I am however interested in swapping the core in the future from 3080 to 3080Ti. That is a better core + a 25W boost (150W vs 175W) so that is much more interesting! As far as I know there is no 4080 MXM that would fit the Clevos plug&play commercially available for now and anything below 4080 is of no interest to me.
  14. Hi! Can you explain to me how to use SuperBuy? If you need I can help you with the BIOS. I will reupload the images too at some point just have to find where they are. Would be so cool to buy stuff from TaoBao! I am from Europe. Latvia to be exact. Do you think it is possible? How much is the shipping costs approximately using SuperBuy? I need a new P775TM1 motherboard myself and I think they are cheaper on TaoBao. Much cheaper! 🙂 You can DM me if that is easier for you or add me on discord it is the same srs2236 🙂
  15. Hi all! Intel has updated most of their CPU microcodes including 9th gen CPU's. For example my i9-9900KS has 0x100 microcode dated 2024-02-05. Everything you need in order to update is your bios backup and UBU Tools (the archive will have updated microcodes in it).
